Özet
In the present study, color removal from the real wastewater of a denim production facility was studied using the electrochemical treatment technique and the obtained experimental results were modelled with the regression method using the IBM SPSS Version 24 program. The optimum values of operational parameters that affect the electrochemical treatment of wastewater such as electrode type, pH, time, current density, the distance between electrodes, electrode connection type and conductivity were determined. Iron (Fe), aluminum (Al), stainless steel (Ss) and graphite (Gr) electrodes were used at 16 different combinations at both the anode and the cathode. The optimum conditions were obtained at the Monopolar-Serial connected electrodes (Fe- Ss) with 8.27 pH, 0.8 A current, 20.78 mA/cm2 current density, 4080 ?s/cm conductivity, 15 min of operating time and a distance of 10 mm between each other. Under these conditions, color removal was achieved at a rate of 90.7% at 436 nm wavelength, 96.3% at 525 nm and 97.8% at 620 nm. And also cost analysis was performed. Additionally, it was mathematically expressed how much color removal efficiency could be achieved at wavelengths of 436 nm, 525 nm and 620 nm depending on variables such as distance, time, pH, conductivity, current and voltage. The correlation rates were 88%, 89%, and 89% respectively as a result of the optimization study with the non-linear regression model.
