The purpose of the study was to determine the skill learning level of the badminton basic techniques of boys with mild intellectual disabilities. The study sample consisted of 30 mildly intellectual disabilities (MID) boys. Participants were added to 12 weeks instruction programs those 60 minutes in duration and three days per week. Participants were tested with badminton test on three badminton skill including forehand clear stroke, long and short serves. Tests were carried out every other day in the 6th and 12th weeks of the instruction program. Skill learning levels of MID boys for each stroke were evaluated averagely 38% and 60% at the end of 6th and 12th weeks, respectively. Two way repeated measures ANOVA on both factor tests showed that clear, forehand short and long serve strokes were not affected by each other. Therefore, there were no significant difference among score of each strokes in both pre (F=.089) and post test (F=2.491). However, there was significant difference between pre and post tests scores (p<0.05). The study showed that MID boys could easily learn in badminton basic skills applying commonly used teaching methods with effective learning. © Sila Science.
