Özet
The rapid and significant developments in technology are leading to different ways of doing industrial work. As a result, ‘efficient’ and ‘smart’ use of technology and Internet environments transformed business to the fourth industrial revolution introducing the term ‘Industry 4.0'. In this study, in order to satisfy the needs of industry, the workforce of the future is discussed. Besides, in this global transformation, the role ‘Faculty Members 4.0' of the faculty in higher education to develop themselves for using Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Environments is analyzed. Related research works have been gathered through a literature review; recommendations are advanced in carrying this important issue to the higher educational institutes’ agenda in order for them to develop local and international strategies. © The Turkish Online Journal of Educational Technology.
