Özet
We aimed to reveal the views of pre-service science teachers related to the sustainable development in this study. 49 third grade pre-service science teachers (31 male, 18 female) participated in the research. The pre-service teachers were asked to define the sustainable development concept and express their written views before and after the education about the sustainable life. Furthermore views of pre-service teachers about how essentials of a sustainable campus and the educational approach of a sustainable school curriculum should be were got dividing them to groups. Data we obtained was explained by means of content analysis qualitatively. According to the findings of the research; while the definition of the sustainable development in the minds of the pre-service teachers had been more narrow and limited before the research, it was observed that number of the words that they put into each category increased after the studies related to the sustainable life. It was understood that the pre-service teachers gave importance to the significant points associated with the approach of sustainable campus and education.
