| dc.description.abstract | The bureaucracy is criticized in Reşat Nuri Güntekin’s (1889-1956) novel named Çalıkuşu (1922). It is emphasized matters such as redundant red tape, exclusion of the individual, the bureaucracy that is made a tool of personal benefits. The author also shows how it should be at the same time criticizing the bureaucracy. Primarily, should laws and regulations that regulates the functioning of the institutions take into account variable conditions of the human factor? We can find the answer to this question is in the novel. Feride heroine of the novel, becomes entered into the order of the bureaucracy from the moment she wanted to be a teacher. We can observe that she faced with the bureaucracy at various stages of her life and was crushed against the bureaucracy in the novel. The author uses this relationship that he established between the heroine and the bureaucracy, to transmit some messages to the reader. First of all, the bureaucracy in education should exclude redundant red tape. In case it should sometimes identify the difference between right and wrong in consultation with emotions. In short, it should keep in mind the factor of “conscience”. In this study, it has been tried to show how the author associates the bureaucracy with the concepts of “conscience” and “relent” in the novel. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Reşat Nuri Güntekin’in (1889-1956) Çalıkuşu (1922) adlı romanında bürokrasi eleştirilmektedir. Gereksiz kırtasiyecilik, bireyin dışlanması, bürokrasinin kişisel menfaatlere alet edilmesi gibi meseleler vurgulanmaktadır. Yazar, bürokrasiyi eleştirirken aynı zamanda nasıl olması gerektiğini de göstermektedir. Öncelikle kurumların işleyişini düzenleyen kanun ve nizamlar insan faktörünün değişken koşullarını göz önünde bulundurmalı mıdır? Bu sorunun yanıtını romanda bulabiliriz. Romanın kahramanı Feride, öğretmen olmak istediği andan itibaren bürokrasinin emrine girmiş olmaktadır. Onun hayatının çeşitli safhalarında bürokrasi ile karşılaştığını ve bürokrasi karşısında ezildiğini romanda gözlemleriz. Yazar, kahramanı ile bürokrasi arasında kurduğu bu ilişkiyi okura bazı mesajlar iletmek için kullanır. Öncelikle eğitimde bürokrasi gereksiz kırtasiyeciliği dışlamalıdır. Doğru ile yanlış arasındaki farkı ise bazen duygulara danışarak belirlemelidir. Kısacası “vicdan” faktörünü göz önünde bulundurmalıdır. Bu çalışmada, romanda yazarın “vicdan” ve “acımak” kavramlarını bürokrasi ile nasıl ilişkilendirdiği gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır. | |
