Abstract
The species of the families Dytiscidae, Haliplidae, Noteridae and Gyrinidae (Coleoptera: Adephaga) from Alborz, Gilan, Mazandaran, Qazvin, and Tehran provinces are listed. These provinces are located in northern Iran. 27 species and subspecies belonging to 17 genera are here reported. Bidessus nasutus Sharp, 1887 and Haliplus maculatus Motschulsky, 1860 are recorded from Iran for the first time.
