| dc.description.abstract | Çalışmanın amacı aşçılık programında eğitim alan öğrencilerin meslek algılarının metaforlar yolu ile değerlendirilmesi ve sektörde kariyer yapma ve yapmama düşüncelerinin altında yatan nedenlerin ortaya konulmasıdır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden olgu bilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Metafor ve cümle tamamlama yöntemi kullanılarak hazırlanan ve üç bölümden oluşan veri toplama aracı ile öğrencilerden çevrimiçi olarak elde edilen veriler kodlanarak ortak tema ve kategorilere ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencilerin meslekleri ile ilgili geliştirdikleri metaforlar on altı tema altında değerlendirilmiştir. Öğrencilerin genel itibarı ile bölümlerini isteyerek seçtikleri, sektörde çalışma konusunda hevesli oldukları görülmektedir. Mesleğin gelişime açık ve eğlenceli olarak algılandığı görülmüştür. Sektörde kariyer yapmak istemeyen öğrencilerin bu düşüncelerinin ardında, daha çok işle ilgili çalışma koşulları, düşük ücret, cinsiyet ayrımcılığı, yöneticilerin tutumları ve terfi olanaklarının darlığı gibi hususların yattığı görülmüştür. Araştırma bulguları öğrencilerin mesleklerini olumlu simgelerle betimlediklerini ortaya koymakta ve mesleğe ilişkin yüksek bir çalışma motivasyonuna sahip olduklarını göstermekle birlikte özellikle kariyer planı yapmama nedenleri noktasında önemli sonuçlar ortaya koymuştur. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This paper aims to evaluate the perceptions of students studying in the culinary program towards the profession with metaphors and to reveal the underlying reasons for their thoughts on whether to pursue a career in the sector or not. Phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The data obtained online with the data collection tool, which was prepared using metaphor and sentence completion method and consisted of three parts, was coded and common themes and categories were reached. The metaphors that students developed about their profession were evaluated under sixteen themes. It is observed that students generally choose their departments willingly and they are enthusiastic about working in the sector. It has been observed that the profession is perceived as open for improvement and fun. It has been observed that behind the thoughts of students who do not want to pursue a career in the sector, there are issues such as job-related working conditions, low wages, gender discrimination, managers' attitudes, and limited opportunities for promotion. Although the study shows that students describe their profession with positive symbols and their motivation to work related to the profession is high, it has revealed important results especially regarding the reasons for not making a career plan. | |
