Özet

This chapter delves into an early career researcher's (ECR) academic knowledge sharing pattern with reference to the barriers and overcoming strategies. Designed as a merged narrative inquiry with a case study methodology, the study used the data collected through narratives during a series of interviews from an ECR (Angie) working in the field of English as a Foreign Language (EFL). She has recently completed her PhD studies and has been working as a researcher for the last seven years at a public university in Turkey during data collection. Qualitative data were analyzed using narrative analysis. A variety of strategies for academic knowledge production and sharing were actively enacted throughout her career. The findings reveal critical insights into three main categories of barriers: the personal, professional, and institutional factors influencing knowledge sharing, including time constraints, competitive work environments, and unclear institutional policies.
