| dc.description.abstract | Türkiye'de finansal sistemin en büyük payını bankacılık sektörü oluşturmaktadır. Özellikle, faizsiz finansal işlemler gerçekleştirmek isteyen geniş bir kitlenin varlığı, katılım bankalarının bankacılık sektörü içerisindeki payını sürekli olarak artırmakta ve bu alanda önemli bir büyüme potansiyeli oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışma, Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren altı katılım bankasının finansal performans sıralamasını belirlemek amacıyla literatürde yeni bir ağırlık belirleme yöntemi olan LOPCOW ile sıralama amacıyla kullanılan OCRA yöntemlerini bir arada uygulamaktadır. Analizler 2005-2023 yıllarını kapsayacak şekilde gerçekleştirilmiş olup, değerlendirme sürecinde sekiz farklı finansal gösterge kullanılmıştır. İlk olarak, belirlenen kriterler LOPCOW yöntemiyle ağırlıklandırılmış, ardından OCRA yöntemi ile katılım bankalarının finansal performans sıralamaları elde edilmiştir. Tüm yıllar bazında yapılan LOPCOW analizlerinden elde edilen bulgular, her yıl önem verilen finansal göstergelerin değişiklik gösterdiğini ortaya koymuştur. Bununla birlikte OCRA yöntemi sonuçları, özellikle son yıllarda kamu iştiraklerinin katılım bankacılığı sektörüne güçlü bir finansal performansla giriş yaptığını göstermektedir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The banking sector constitutes the largest share of the financial system in Turkey. In particular, the existence of a large audience that wants to carry out interest-free financial transactions is continuously increasing the share of participation banks in the banking sector and creating a significant growth potential in this area. This study applies LOPCOW, a new weighting method in the literature, and OCRA methods used for ranking purposes in order to determine the financial performance ranking of six participation banks operating in Turkey. The analyses were conducted for the years 2005-2023 and eight different financial indicators were used in the evaluation process. First, the determined criteria were weighted with the LOPCOW method, then the financial performance rankings of the participation banks were obtained with the OCRA method. The findings obtained from the LOPCOW analyses conducted on a yearly basis have revealed that the financial indicators given importance each year have changed. However, the OCRA method results show that public subsidiaries have entered the participation banking sector with a strong financial performance, especially in recent years. | |
