| dc.description.abstract | Ulus-devletlerin en önemli misyonlarından biri kimlik inşasıdır. Kimliğin inşa edilmesinde ise halk toplulukları arasında bir bağın tesis edilmesi yani kısaca milletin oluşturulması için objektif ve subjektif bağların bu insan topluluğu arasında kurulması gerekmektedir. Bu noktada tarih ve tarih yazımı ise hayati bir rol üstelenmektedir. İmparatorluk bakiyesi olan ve ulus-devlet olarak ortaya çıkan Türkiye devletinin kurulmasında da resmi tarihin yazımı araçsal bir rol üstlenmiştir. Herhangi bir ulus-devletten farklı olarak, bir dizi köklü reform ve hükümet sistemi değişikliğini de içeren bu süreçte Türkiye’de resmi tarih yazımı çok daha fazla amaca hizmet eder şekilde ortaya çıkmıştır. Böyle bir hamle, bir taraftan bu tarih yazımına etki edip onu yönlendirmek isteyen veya ortaya çıkan ürünü beğenmeyerek eleştiren entelektüel bir kitleyi de beraberinde getirmiştir. Bunlardan birisi daha sonra Türkiye’de bir milliyetçilik ekolünün de kurucusu olan Hüseyn Nihal Atsız’dır. İçerik analizinden faydalanılan bu çalışmada, resmi tarihin bel kemiğini oluşturan Türk Tarih Tezi’nin hazırlandığı dönemde, çıkardığı dergi aracılığı ile buna etki etme ve dönüştürme gayreti içinde olan Atsız’ın tarih anlayışı ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | One of the main missions of nation states is the construction of identity, which is establishing a connection among the people to form a nation, in other words the establishment of both objective and subjective ties within the community. In this context, history and historical narrative play a key role. The process of constructing the new republic from the remnants of the empire and emerging as a nation-state also involved the instrumental role of crafting an official historical narrative. Unlike other nation-states, this process in Türkiye, which included profound reforms and changes in the government system, resulted in a more purpose-driven official historical narrative. This move not only influenced and guided the historical narrative, but also attracted a class of intellectuals who either wanted to influence or were critical of the resulting product. One of these people was Hüseyin Nihal Atsız, who later became one of the the founders of the nationalist movement in Türkiye. The purpose of this study is to present Atsız's perspective on history by content analysis through the journal he published during the period when the backbone of the official historical narrative, the Turkish Historical Thesis, was being developed. | |
