| dc.description.abstract | 2 yaşlı kısırlaştırılmamış dişi Chow Chow ırkı bir köpek Veteriner Fakültesi Hayvan Hastanesi’ne arka bacakların iç yüzünde kıl dökülmeleri, tekrarlayan damla damla idrar yapma ve östrus siklus anormallikleri şikâyetleriyle getirildi. Yapılan klinik muayenede arka bacaklarda bilaretal simetrik alopesi ve hiperpigmentasyon belirlendi. Vaginal smear ile siklus düzensizliği doğrulandı. Hormonal analizlerde diöstrus östradiol değerinin 5 ng/dL olduğu görüldü. Ultrason ile yapılan reprodüktif kontrollerde herhangi bir anormalliğe rastlanılmadı. İdrar örneklerinin bakteriyolojik muayenesinde Proteus mirabilis ve E.coli üredi. Enrofloksasin 5 mg/kg dozunda 14 gün süreyle deri altı yolla uygulanarak üriner sistem enfeksiyonunun sağaltımı yapıldı. Hasta östrus gösterdiğinde yapılan ölçümlerde östradiol değeri 800 ng/dL bulundu ve bilateral simetrik alopesinin ortadan kalkarak spontan iyileşmenin gerçekleştiği görüldü. Her ne kadar östrojene yanıt veren dermatoz genellikle kısırlaştırılmış köpeklerde kıl dökülmeleri ve tekrarlayan üriner sistem enfeksiyonları ile seyretse de kısırlaştırılmamış siklus bozukluğu gösteren köpeklerde de görülebileceği göz önünde bulundurulmalıdır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | A 2-years-old, intact female Chow Chow referred to Animal Hospital of Veterinary Faculty with bilateral alopecia in caudal aspect of the hind limbs, recurrent pollakuria, stranguria and estrus cycle abnormality. Bilateral symetric alopecia and hyperpigmentation were determined over the caudal aspect of hind limbs during clinical examination. Estrus cycle abnormality was confirmed with vaginal smear. Hormonal evaluation revealed estradiol levels as 5 ng/dL in diestrus. Reproductive ultrasonography demonstrated no problem. Microbiological evaluation of urine samples revealed the presence of Proteus mirabilis and E. coli. Urinary tract infection was treated with Enrofloxacin (5 mg/kg, subcutaneously) for 14 days. Estradiol level was determined as 800 ng/dL during estrus and bilateral alopecia has spontaneously disappeared. Although estrogen responsive dermatosis causes alopecia and recurrent cystitis in neutered female dogs; it may be seen in intact females with estrus cycle abnormality as well. | |
