Özet
Smart phones are among the most prevalently used technological devices due to their various features including internet, sound recording, navigation, shooting as well as communication purpose. Areas of usage of the smarphones and the number of users are increasing more and more and they are getting more space in the daily life. The education on how to use smart phones effectively constitutes great importance in individuals’ lives. When the literature is examined, there has not been any evaluation tool for smart phone education, for usage of smart phones in educational environments or for educators’ skills of using smart phones with educational purposes. The current research aimed to develop “Usage of Smart Phones in Teaching-Learning Environments Scale” in order to determine whether university students use smart phones in educational environments with educational purposes. Accordingly, “Usage of Smart Phones in Teaching-Learning Environments Scale” was developed. Validity and reliability findings of the scale were demonstrated. © The Turkish Online Journal of Educational Technology
