dc.description.abstract | New findings of the water beetles from the family Haliplidae and Dytiscidae from Turkey are given. Eight species are identified, five of which (Haliplus laminatus (SCHALLER, 1783); Agabus striolatus (GYLLENHAL, 1808); Rhantus grapii (GYLLENHAL, 1808); Graphoderus austriacus (STURM, 1834); Hydroporus angustatus STURM, 1835) are new for the fauna of Turkey; other three species (Haliphus heydeni WEHNCKE, 1875; Haliplus flavicollis STURM, 1834; Herophydrus musicus (KLUG, 1834)) are cited first with exact localities for the country. The known ranges of these species are expanded by the new findings. | |
