Özet

An important design parameter in shrink-fitted joints is the average surface roughness values of the shaft and hub. During assembly, the surface roughness is crushed and the theoretical tightness value decreases between the shaft and the hub. The decrease in the tightness value negatively affects the joint performance. In this study, six models with six different surface roughnesses were created using ANSYS finite element analysis program. Then, the effects of surface roughness on the stress distribution and moment bearing capacity of the shaft-hub joints are examined numerically and analytically. Lame equations were used in the analytical study. As a result of the study, it was determined that the surface roughness values significantly affect the stress distribution and moment bearing capacity in the shaft-hub joints.
