Özet
In this study, seasonal [2015- April (n:10), July (n:10), October (n:10) and 2016- January (n:10)] blood serum adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and cortisol hormone levels were determined in male carp commonly found in Obruk Dam Lake. As a result of the study, seasonal changes in ACTH and cortisol levels were found statistically significant (p <0.05). It was suggested that ACTH and cortisol levels may increase due to reproductive activities in spring and rising water temperature in summer. It was concluded that animals have physiologically adaptive arrangements on the hypothalamic-pituitary-interrenal (HPI) axis to overcome stress and survive.
