Abstract
1950 yılında hükümet olan Demokrat Parti’nin, on yıllık iktidar süresince çıkardığı önem? li yasalardan birisi de Toplantı ve Gösteri Yürüyüşleri Kanunudur. 1954’den itibaren başlayan ekonomik sıkıntılara paralel olarak, halkın muhalefet partilerine yönelmesini önlemek ve muhalefetin siyasi faaliyetlerini kısıtlamak için çıkarılan bu kanun siyasi hayatımızda yer etmiş önemli hadiselerin yaşanmasına neden olmuştur. Kanunun uygu? lanmaya başlandığı 1956 yılından 1960’a kadar muhalefet partisi CHP’nin Anadolu’da yapmak istediği ziyaretlerde olaylar çıkmış, siyasi gerginlikler halka yansımış ve kutup? laşmanın önüne geçilememişti. Zile hadisesi, kendisinden sonra yaşanan Uşak, Topkapı ve Kayseri olaylarının habercisi olarak tarihe geçmiştir.
Law of Meetings and Demonstrations which waslegislated by the Democratic Party which became the ruling party in 1950 is one of theimportant lawsenacted by the party during their 10?year governance. In parallel with economic problemsstarting from 1954 the law which was designed to prevent people approaching the opposition party, and limit the activities of the opposition parties has caused importantevents and left a mark in our political past. Some incidents occurred between 1956 and 1960 during the visits of CHP in Anatolia. As a result of these incidents, the political tension reverberated to public and polarisation became ungovernable. The ZileIncident took its placein history asthe sign of Usak, Topkapı, and Kayseri Incidents.
