| dc.description.abstract | Kent, gençler için toplumsal normların öğrenildiği bir kamusal mekân özelliği sergilemektedir.Bu anlamıyla kent, kendisi bir toplumsallaşma süreci olan gençliğin toplumsallaşma mekânı olarak belirmektedir.Kullanıcıları arasındaki etkileşim yoluyla sembolik anlamlarla bezenen kentsel mekân, o mekâna özgü gençliğin de nasıl inşa edildiği konusunda ipuçları vermektedir. Bu çalışma, Trabzonlu gençleri mercek altına almaktadır. Toplumsal baskı, vatan sevgisi, kimlik ve farklılık grupları gibi çeşitli değişkenler dikkate alınarak toplumsallaşma mekânının gençlik deneyimi üzerindeki etkisi ölçülmektedir. Çalışmanın varsayımlarına göre, Trabzon, gençlere milliyetçi, geleneksel ve muhafazakâr bir öznelik sunmaktadır. Bununla birlikte, gençlerin kimliklerini Müslüman, Türkive Trabzonlu olarak kurdukları ve farklılıklara karşı dışlayıcı bir tutuma sahip oldukları kabul edilmektedir. Çalışmada hem nitel hem de nicel araştırma teknikleri birlikte kullanılmıştır. Anketler 395, derinlemesine mülakatlar ise 38 gençle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler ise gençlik ve mekân kavramları çerçevesinde analize tabi tutulmuş ve yorumlanmıştır. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The city is a public space where young people learn social norms. In this sense, the city appears as the socialization place of the youth, which is a process of socialization itself. Urban space, which is embellished with symbolic meanings through interaction between its users, gives clues about how this particular youth is built. This study, which is derived from the PhD thesis, focuses on young people in Trabzon. The effects of socialization place on youth experience are measured by taking into consideration various variables such as social oppression, love of homeland, identity and groups of difference. According to the study, Trabzon offers, for young people, a nationalist, traditional and conservative subjectivity. In addition to this it is accepted that young people build their identity as a Muslim, Turkish and Trabzonlu and have an exclusionary attitude towards groups of difference. In the study, both qualitative and quantitative research techniques were used. The questionnaires were conducted with 395 and in-depth interviews with 38 participants. The data obtained from research field, were analyzed and interpreted within the framework of concepts of youth and place. | |
