Abstract
Giriş: Hasta eğitimi, hasta ve yakınlarının gereksinimlerinin bireysel olarak karşılanmasında önemli bir yere sahiptir. Amaç: Bu çalışma dahiliye ve cerrahi kliniklerde yatan hastaların öğrenim gereksinimlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı türdeki bu araştırma, bir devlet hastanesinin dahili ve cerrahi kliniklerinde 1 Ocak-1 Temmuz 2015 tarihleri arasında, son 24-48 saat içerisinde taburculuğu planlanan ve araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden hastalar (n = 146) ile yürütülmüştür. Veriler araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan kişisel bilgi formu ve Hasta Öğrenim Gereksinimleri Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan hastaların, Öğrenim Gereksinimi Ölçeği puan ortalaması 186.67 ± 29.22’dir. Hastaların demografik değişkenleri ile Hasta Öğrenim Gereksinimleri Ölçeği toplam puan ortalaması arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmamıştır (p > .05). Sonuç: Araştırma sonucunda hastaların öğrenim gereksinimlerinin yüksek düzeyde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Hemşirelerin taburculuk sürecinde hasta ve yakınlarının öğrenim gereksinimleri belirleyip, bu doğrultuda bireysel eğitim programları düzenlemesi önerilmektedir.
Background: Patient education has an important place in meeting individually of the needs of patients and their relatives. Objectives: This study was carried out to determine the learning needs of the patients in internal medicine and surgical clinics Methods: This descriptive study was conducted with patients (n = 146) who planned to be discharged within the last 24-48 hours between 1 January - 1 July 2015 in internal and surgical clinics of a state hospital and who agreed to participate in the study. The data were collected by using The Patients Learning Needs Scale and Personal Information Form prepared by the researchers. Results: Patient Learning Needs Scale point average of the patients who has participated in research is 186.67 ± 29.22. Demographic variables were not statistically significant difference with learning needs of the patient (p > .05). Conclusion: As a result of the research it is founded that learning needs level of the patients is high. Nurses should be organize teaching programs according to their individual needs in order to provide their patients' care. Key
