Özet
Depremler, canlı-cansız varlıklar üzerinde büyük zararlara yola açan doğal olaylardır. Bir depremin afet haline dönüşmesinde doğal süreçler kadar beşeri süreçler de etkilidir. Depremlerin oluşması için gerekli olan doğal süreçleri engellemek mümkün değildir. Bu yüzden deprem zararlarının önlenmesinde beşeri faktörler daha fazla önem taşımaktadır. Halkın afetler konusunda bilinçlendirilmesi ilköğretimden itibaren yürütülmesi gereken bir süreçtir. Bu çalışmada ilköğretim öğretmen adaylarının deprem bilgi düzeyleri incelenmiştir. Çalışma Gazi Eğitim Fakültesine devam eden 145 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, öğretmen adaylarının deprem hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadıkları görülmüştür.
Earthquakes are natural events which are caused harmful effects on living or goods. On the transformation of an earthquake to a disaster, human processes are as effectively as natural processes. To prevent natural processes which are required for an earthquake is impossible. That’s why, human processes are more important to prevent earthquakes hazards. The awareness of people about disasters is a process which is to be performed from elementary school’s period. In this study, it was investigated earthquake knowledge levels of elementary school’s preservice teachers. It was carried out with 145 persons who are students in Gazi Education Faculty. According to finding, there are some deficiencies about earthquake information level of preservice teachers.
