Öğe Narrative research on the capabilities of widows receiving social cash transfer(Elsevier Ltd, 2024) Akıncı, Merve; Öztürk, Hatice; Arıkan, Elif Sinem; Demir, Macit; Yıldız, Merve; Türkoğlu, Bilge; Yıldırım, FilizThe aim of this study was to examine the capabilities of widows in Turkey who received social cash transfers after the death of their husbands in the context of Nussbaum's capabilities approach, starting from their childhood, before and after the death of their husbands. The study used a narrative design, one of the qualitative research designs. In-depth interviews were conducted with 18 participants selected through snowball sampling. Thematic analysis of the data in MAXQDA 2022 program was conducted according to Nussbaum's ten basic capabilities principles. The results revealed that the participants' limited capabilities, starting from their childhood years, were transformed into multiple disadvantages during marriage, the death of the spouse, and later life processes. Becoming a “widow” at the end of such a life cycle not only led to dependency on social cash transfers in the fight against poverty, but also did not create opportunities to expand their capabilities.Öğe 1977-2022 yılları arasındaki çağdaş türk düşüncesi üzerine yapılan çalışmaların bibliyometrik analizi(A Kitap, 2024) Sipahi Döngül, EsraBu çalışmada, “Contemporary Turkish Thought (Çağdaş Türk Düşüncesi)” ile ilgili yapılan çalışmaların analizi görsel olarak sunarak çalışmanın etkisinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Web of Science’da (WOS) 1977-2022 yıl aralığında yayınlanmış olan çalışmaların bibliyometrik analizi VOSviewer (Version 1.6.9) paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. “Contemporary Turkish Thought (Çağdaş Türk Düşüncesi)” sözcüğünün yer aldığı “başlığın, içeriğinin ve anahtar kelimesinin tüm dillerde ve tüm yayın türlerinde” taranması amaçlandığından 1945 esere erişilerek analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. “Contemporary Turkish Thought (Çağdaş Türk Düşüncesi)”ne dair önceki yayınlanan eserlerin yıl bazlı dağılımına bakıldığında en fazla yayın yapılan yıl 173 eser ile 2021 yılıdır. En fazla yayınlanan eserlerin yayın türüne göre dağılımında ise 1.877 dergi makalesine erişilmiştir. Yayınlanan eserlerin ülkelere göre dağılımında en fazla yayın sayısı 1.588 ile Türkiye’dir. En fazla yayın sayısı 1.222 ile İngilizce dilindedir. Yazarlar arası iş birliğini gösteren ortak yazar bağlarına dair sonuçlara göre Gürkan Öztürk 16 eser ile en fazla esere sahiptir. En fazla atıf alan ülke; Türkiye’dir (9.256 atıf). Kurumların bibliyometrik eşleşme analizine göre Atatürk Üniversitesi 384 eser ile önde gelmektedir. Anahtar kelimelerden en fazla kullanılanlar 130 tekrar ile Türkiye, 73 tekrar ile Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, 39 tekrar ile modernization (modernleşme), 24 tekrar ile eğitim (education), 19 tekrar ile İslam (Islam) ve The Ottoman Empire (Osmanlı İmparatorluğu), 15 tekrar ile milliyetçilik, 14 tekrar ile Kemalism (Kemalizm), 9 tekrar ile secularism (laiklik) ve critical thinking (eleştirel düşünme), 7 tekrar ile democracy (demokrasi) olmuştur. Bu çalışma, 1977-2022 yıl aralığında Web of Science’da (WOS) yayınlanan çalışmaların bibliyometrik analizi ile sınırlıdır.Öğe Örgütsel İnovasyon Üzerine Yapılan Çalışmaların Bibliyometrik Analizi(H. Mustafa PAKSOY, 2024) Sipahi Döngül, EsraÖrgütsel inovasyon araştırmaları, örgütlerin yaratıcı ve yenilikçi süreçlerini anlamaya ve geliştirmeye yönelik önemli bir alanı kapsamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, “örgütsel inovasyon (organizational innovation)” ile ilgili yapılan çalışmaların analizi görsel olarak sunularak çalışmanın etkisinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Web of Science (WOS) veri tabanında 1980-2023 yıl aralığında yayınlanmış olan çalışmaların bibliyometrik analizi VOSviewer (Version 1.6.9) paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. “organizational innovation” kavramının yer aldığı başlık, içerik ve anahtar kelimesinin tüm dillerde ve ayrıca tüm yayın türlerinde taranması amaçlandığından 4.300 esere erişilerek analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yıl bazlı dağılıma bakıldığında, en fazla yayın yapılan yıl 334 eser ile 2022 yılıdır. En fazla yayın türü yıl 3.273 eser ile dergi makalesidir. Yayınlanan eserler en fazla 4.110 eser ile İngilizce dilindedir. Çalışmada en az 2 defa olmak koşuluyla aralarında ilişki bulunan ve en çok kullanılan anahtar kelimeler analiz edildiğinde, anahtar kelimelerden en fazla kullanılanlar organizational innovation (örgütsel inovasyon) (756 tekrar), innovation (inovasyon) (437 tekrar) ve knowledge management (bilgi yönetimi) (92 tekrar) olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu tür davranışlar işyerinde çalışanlar arasında veya çalışanlar ile yöneticiler arasında ortaya çıkabilmekte ve işyeri atmosferini olumsuz etkileyebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, “workplace incivility (işyeri nezaketsizliği)” ile ilgili yapılan araştırmaların analizi görselleştirilerek çalışmanın etkisinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Yayınlanan eserler en fazla 1,451 eser ile İngilizce dilindedir. Çalışmada en az 2 defa olmak koşuluyla aralarında ilişki bulunan ve en çok kullanılan anahtar kelimeler analiz edildiğinde anahtar kelimelerden en fazla kullanılanlar 210 tekrar ile workplace incivility (iş yeri nezaketsizliği), 301 tekrar ile incivility (nezaketsizlik), 109 tekrar ile bullying (zorbalık), 63 tekrar ile workplace bullying (işyeri zorbalığı) ve 50 tekrar ile emotional exhaustion (mental yorgunluk) ifadeleri olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışma, 1999-2023 yıl aralığında WOS’ ta yayınlanan çalışmaların bibliyometrik analizi ile sınırlıdır. Gelecekte yapılacak olan çalışmalar için, PUBMed, Scopus, TRDizin gibi veri tabanlarında da yer alan araştırmalar kapsama alınabilir.Öğe The impact of robots and robotic systems on businesses in the workplace: systematic review(Emerald Publishing, 2023) Uğuz Arsu, Şerife; Sipahi Döngül, EsraThis study aims to identify articles examining human-robot interaction and the effects of robotic systems on employment. Design/methodology/approach: In this research, electronic searches were performed for articles published between 2000 and 2022 in Emerald, Springer, PubMed, Science Direct, Wiley and Google Scholar. In the searches of robotic systems with keywords such as “motivation, job satisfaction, job loss, performance, job giving,” 5 quantitative and 5 qualitative studies were included in the systematic review. The selected research was conducted using the Johanna Briggs Analytical Cross-Sectional Studies Checklist from the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) critical evaluation lists and the JBI Critical Appraisal Checklist for Qualitative Research, depending on their type. The included studies are mostly on employee-robot collaboration. Findings: Although the majority of the articles examined in this study are included in keywords or titles, it is determined that there is a gap in descriptive quantitative studies in the literature on the effects of employee-robot collaboration, robotic systems and robotic systems on variables such as motivation, job satisfaction, job loss, performance and employment, although they do not mention a framework that directly investigates human-robot interaction and the effects of robotic systems on employment. Research limitations/implications: There are several limitations in this study. One of them is that, although the databases are comprehensively scanned, only studies published in English between 2000 and 2022 are included in the systematic review. Another limitation is the heterogeneity between studies. Practical implications: As a result of the authors’ findings, the practical effects of the research are reflected as follows: It serves as a guide for future studies to fill the gap in the field, especially for academics and researchers working in the field of social sciences on robotic systems and intelligent automations. In addition to the qualitative studies on this subject, there is a need for the use of robotic systems in the field of human resources and management and quantitative studies with more sample sizes, especially at the corporate (firms) and individual (employees) level. Considering that the number of studies on this subject is very insufficient, this research is important in terms of shedding light on future studies. Originality/value: The authors believe that the impact of robotic systems on employment is one of the few conceptual articles that systematically examines 6 dimensions (job satisfaction, performance, job loss, employment, motivation, employment).Öğe Yaşlılarda yalnızlık algısının sosyal hizmet perspektifi ile incelenmesi(Aile ve Sosyal Hizmetler Bakanlığı, 2023) Kalaycı, Sami; Erkoç, BeyzaYalnızlık, yaşlı bireylerin yaşadıkları psikososyal sorunlardan biri olmakla birlikte yaşlı bireyin tüm hayatına etki eden olumsuz bir gerçekliktir. Bu çalışma ile yaşlı bireylerin hissettikleri yalnızlık algısının çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesi ve elde edilen sonuçların sosyal hizmet perspektifi ile elen alınarak önerilerin geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma 01.07.2021- 31.12.2022 tarihleri arasında, Şırnak ili ve ilçelerinde yaşayan, 60 yaş ve üzeri yaşlı bireylerle anket yöntemiyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında 271 adet anket formu değerlendirilmiştir. Verilerin toplanmasında Katılımcı Bilgi Formu ile Yaşlılar İçin Yalnızlık Ölçeği kullanılmış, analizler SPSS 22 paket programıyla yapılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda; cinsiyete göre sosyal yalnızlık puanlarında anlamlı fark yokken, duygusal yalnızlık ve toplam puanda anlamlı fark tespit edilmiştir. Yaş durumuna göre sosyal yalnızlık, duygusal yalnızlık ve toplam puanda anlamlı fark olduğu; eğitim durumuna göre ise sosyal yalnızlık puanlarında anlamlı fark bulunmazken, duygusal yalnızlık ve toplam puanda anlamlı fark olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca medeni duruma göre sosyal yalnızlık, duygusal yalnızlık ve toplam puanda anlamlı bir fark bulunurken aylık gelire göre sosyal yalnızlık puanlarında anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır. Buna karşın duygusal yalnızlık ve toplam puanda medeni duruma göre anlamlı fark gözlenmiştir. Diğer bir kriter olan kronik hastalık bulunma durumuna göre ise sosyal yalnızlık, duygusal yalnızlık ve toplam puanda anlamlı fark tespit edilmiştir. Bir diğer kriter olan kurum bakımı ve desteği alma durumuna göre de sosyal yalnızlık puanlarında anlamlı fark yokken, duygusal yalnızlık ve toplam puanda anlamlı fark olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Yaşlı bireylerin yaşamış oldukları yalnızlık duygusu ile baş edebilmeleri için güçlendirilmeleri adına sosyal hizmet meslek ve disiplininin mikro, mezzo ve makro düzeylerde çalışmalar yapması önerilmektedir.Öğe Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Üzerine Yapılan Çalışmaların Bibliyometrik Analizi(Kırgız-Türk Manas Üniversitesi, 2023) Sipahi Döngül, EsraBu çalışmada, Republic of Turkey (Türkiye Cumhuriyeti) ile ilgili araştırmalar bünyesinde yapılan çalışmaların haritasını çıkarmak ile nicel veriler bağlamında çalışma eğilimlerinin ve boşlukların tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Web of Science (WOS) veri tabanında yer alan ve 1991-2023 yıl aralığında yayınlanmış olan çalışmaların bibliyometrik analizi VOSviewer (Version 1.6.9) paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. “Republic of Turkey” (Türkiye Cumhuriyeti) başlığının, içeriğinin ve anahtar kelimesinin tüm dillerde ve tüm yayın türlerinin taranması amaçlandığından 891 esere erişilerek analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Republic of Turkey (Türkiye Cumhuriyeti) ile ilgili yıl bazlı eser dağılımı analiz edildiğinde, en fazla eserin 105 eser ile 2019 yılında yayınlandığı görülmüştür. Çalışmalarda en çok kullanılan anahtar sözcükler 7 tekrar ile Republic of Turkey (Türkiye Cumhuriyeti), 3 tekrar ile Turkey (Türkiye), 2’ şer tekrar ile Ottoman Empire (Osmanlı İmparatorluğu) ve human rights (insan hakları) olarak tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sınırlılıkları ise WOS’ ta yer alan çalışmaların analizinin yapılması, ULAKBİM, Yüksek Öğretim Kurulu (YÖK) Tez Arşivi ile Scopus, Pubmed veri tabanlarında yer alan verilere yer verilmemiş olmasıdır. Gelecekte yapılacak olan çalışmalar için, bu veri tabanlarında yer alan araştırmalar dâhil edilebilir.Öğe Evaluation of the Corporate Sustainability Performance of Manufacturing Companies in the BIST Sustainability Index with Multi-Criteria Decision Making Methods(Adem Anbar, 2023) Uğuz Arsu, Şerife; Arsu, TalipThis study aims to evaluate the corporate sustainability performance of manufacturing companies listed in the Borsa Istanbul (BIST) Sustainability Index using multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods. For this purpose, by examining the literature, 11 criteria, including economic, social, and environmental, were determined and the criteria were weighted with method based on the removal effects of criteria (MEREC), one of the objective MCDM methods. According to the weights obtained through the MEREC method, the most important criteria were "return on equity", "operating profitability", and "asset profitability", while the least important criteria were "employee turnover rate", "training hours per employee" and "proportion of female employees". Subsequently, using the weights derived from the MEREC method, the companies were ranked using the CoCoSo (Combined Compromise Solution) method. According to the rankings, the companies demonstrating the highest corporate sustainability performance are Türk Traktor, Ford, Tofaş, and Otokar, while the companies with the lowest corporate sustainability performance are Kerevitaş, Coca-Cola, Petkim, and Tüpraş, respectively. Sensitivity analysis is carried out to test the consistency of the results obtained. Although these results contribute to the literature, in subsequent studies, MEREC and CoCoSo methods can be used to measure different performance criteria of companies. The fact remains that corporate sustainability performances of companies can be measured by using combinations of different MCDM methods.Öğe Akademik Stalk: Kişisel Sunum Mu? Kendini İfşa Zorunluluğu Mu?(Paksoy, Hacı Mustafa, 2023) Uğuz Arsu, ŞerifeAraştırmanın temel amacı, akademik stalk kavramına ilişkin algı ve deneyimleri görünür kılmak ve kavram ile ilgili genel ve geçerli bir tanım ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaçtan hareketle tümevarımsal bir çıkarımda bulunmak amacıyla nitel araştırmanın veri oluşturma analiz ve teknikleri kullanılmış ve fenomenolojik bir yaklaşım benimsenmiştir. Katılımcılar nitel araştırmalarda kullanılan amaçlı örnekleme kapsamında kartopu yöntemi ile belirlenmiştir. Veriler tematik içerik analizi yöntemiyle MAXQDA 22 ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda “Kişisel Sunum: Gören Olmak” ve “Zorunlu İfşa: Görünen Olmak” şeklinde iki ana tema elde edilmiştir. Ana temalar kapsamında akademik stalk kavramı, akademik stalk yapan yani “gören kişi”ler ve stalklanan yani “görülen kişi”ler açısından değerlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca akademik stalk yapılan platformlar, akademik stalk kriterleri ve her iki taraf açısından akademik stalkın neden ve sonuçları ele alınarak akademik stalk kavramı olumlu, olumsuz, akademik ve genel anlamda kavramsallaştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonucuna göre, akademisyenlerin "Akademik Meraklar”, “Öğrenme/Gelişim Amaçlı Stalk”, “Gündemi Takip Amaçlı Stalk”, “Rekabet Amaçlı Stalk”, “Motivasyon Amaçlı Stalk” ve “Gizli Stalk” yaptıkları ortaya konmuştur.Öğe Examining the impact of rural finance development on farmers' incomes in business context. Evidence from "The Belt and Road" from key provinces(Walter de Gruyter (Verlag), 2023) Qiu-Bin, Lin; Sipahi Döngül, Esra; Ul-Durar, ShajaraThe gradual increase in the world population has a significant impact on businesses, productivity, and financial development in the context of rural life. As the population continues to grow, there is increasing pressure on farming systems to produce more food to meet the growing demand. In addition, the growing population can lead to an increased demand for natural resources such as water, land, and forests. This can create challenges for rural communities that depend on these resources for their livelihoods. In this study, it was determined as a problem that the financial system deepened in regions where the savings base was not large enough and the level of savings was not at the desired level. In this context, since improving the management of the rural labor structure and increasing investments in science and technology can also increase farmers' incomes, the study aims to deepen rural financial reform and increase the efficiency of the financial system in business management. In the study, the key provinces of "The Belt and Road" (except Chongqing and Tibet) were considered as research objects and 2000-2015 annual panel data were used to analyze the threshold regression model. According to the research findings, when the threshold of financial development efficiency is variable, the growth of farmers' incomes in general is prevented, when the scale of financial development is variable, the effect on farmers' incomes gradually changes from negative to positive. In line with these findings, it is recommended to strengthen the quality of education of rural workers and promote the integration of urban and rural areas, increase investments in agricultural science and technology, and improve the service system of agricultural science and technology.Öğe Corporate information management platform based on e-commerce environment: in the context of entrepreneurship(Pamukkale Üniversitesi, 2023) Sipahi Döngül, Esra; Artantaş, Erkin; Tarkang, Marymagdaline EnowmbiAddressing the e-commerce environment, this study is designed to validate the feasibility of an enterprise information management platform based on cloud storage technology and system testing. Experimental results show that the platform designed in this article has approximately 195 fluctuating processes per second in the average number of transactions per second, which has a better test effect in terms of business efficiency. In addition, other performance index tests have reached the standard. These include a user authentication time of just 0.96 seconds, a material information input time of 2.54 seconds, a material information query response time of only 0.97 seconds, and a relatively fast response time. This research is expected to provide an efficient information management platform for the entire production process for the sales of the enterprise and encourage the development of business management informatics in Turkey.Öğe Covid-19 salgını sürecinde belediyelerde Sosyal Hizmet Uygulamaları(Ahmet Fidan, 2023) Kalaycı, SamiCovid-19 (koronavirüs) salgın hastalığı ilk defa 2019 yılı aralık ayında Çin’de görülmüştür. Daha sonra tüm dünyaya yayılarak küresel ölçekte krizlere neden olmuştur. Birçok ülke idaresi başta sağlık olmak üzere ekonomi, eğitim gibi birçok alanda salgının verdiği zararları karşılama ve ortaya çıkabilecek olası daha derin krizleri de önleme çabasına girişmiştir. Bu kapsamda ülkelerin hem merkezi hem de belediye idareleri kendine özgü imkân ve kaynaklar çerçevesinde koronavirüs salgınına karşı mücadele vermeye başlamıştır. Nitekim krizin dünya genelinde hızla yayılmaya başlaması, mücadelenin de en az bu hızla yürütülmesini zorunlu kılmıştır. Bu nedenle yerel alanlarda birey ve topluluklara en yakın olan ve hizmetlere de en kolay şekilde erişme imkânı sunan belediye idareleri salgınla mücadelede daha avantajlı durumda olmuştur. Çünkü salgınla birlikte ortaya çıkan küresel krize karşı alınacak hızlı ve etkili tedbirler toplumun daha az kayıpla süreci atlatabilmesine imkân tanımıştır. Dolayısıyla birçok ülkede merkezi yönetim yanında yerel yönetim birimi olan belediyeler de salgınla mücadelede kapsamında çeşitli sosyal hizmet uygulamalarını yerel halka sunmaya çalışmıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada dünyayı etkisi altına alan koronavirüs salgınına karşı farklı ülkelerin belediyeleri tarafından pandeminin başlangıcından itibaren sunulan sosyal hizmet uygulamaları incelenmiştir.Öğe A novel approach for sustainable supply Chain management with analyzing the effective governance under fuzzy uncertainty(Hindawi Limited, 2022) Chien, Fengsheng; Sipahi Döngül, Esra; Vural Uygun, Serdar; Ahmadi, AliNowadays, knowledge has become one of the most important tools of power, distributing public services that accept the audience as citizens and not consumers and provide the principle of services without financial worries. Moreover, the urban products have a specific production and distribution channel that should be assessed. In this research, a mathematical framework is proposed for designing the supply chain network of urban products. The main contribution of this research is to incorporate the effect of public service into urban products' supply chain planning. In this regard, a mixed-integer mathematical model is proposed. In this mathematical model, an attempt is made to minimize the costs of the product distribution system by considering the effects of production, maintenance, and distribution. Moreover, fuzzy uncertainty has been applied to adapt the mathematical model to real conditions. The numerical results show that if manufacturers and distributors want to strengthen their institutions and maintain their leadership roles as in the past, they can optimize their distribution network structure to achieve the best possible performance. Moreover, technological advances and innovations in production and distribution systems can create a huge leap in profitability.Öğe How humble leadership affects voluntary green behavior and green performance? the roles of job autonomy and green supporting climate in hotels(Politechnika Lubelska, 2022) Alsetoohy, Omar; Al-Abyadh, Mohammed Hasan Ali; Sipahi Döngül, Esra; Agina, Mohamed Fathy; Elshaer, AbdallahThe relationship between the humble behavior of leaders and the voluntary workplace green behaviors (VWGB) of their employees is critical to affecting the overall green performance of an organization, particularly in the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic. Traditionally, most studies focus more on the importance of leadership effectiveness, but few research studies investigate the leadership approach and its psychological mechanisms that motivate voluntary positive behavior and the efficiency of the overall performance. Thus, the authors conceptual-ize a research model of humble leadership that investigates the impact of humble leadership on voluntary green behavior and green performance via job autonomy and the green supporting climate. To verify the research hy-potheses, 692 online and in-person questionnaires were analyzed using SmartPLS-SEM. The results showed a positive association between humble leadership and green performance, and VWGB mediates this relationship. In addition, job autonomy and green supporting climate were confirmed to mediate the association of humble leadership and VWGB; and moderate the relationship between VWGB and green performance, respectively. This optimization model aims to minimize the costs associated with elective and emergency surgeries and maximize the number of scheduled surgeries. In this study, surgeon assistants to perform each surgery are considered in order to achieve the goals. Since the time of each surgery varies according to the conditions of the patient, this parameter is considered as an uncertain one, and a robust optimization method is applied to deal with uncertainty. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, a case study in one of the East Asian hospitals is presented and analyzed using GAMS software. Moreover, hybrid simulation and gray wolf optimization algorithm (GWO) have been implemented to solve the optimization model in different scenarios. The results show that increasing the risk parameters in the robust optimization model will increase the system costs. Moreover, in case of uncertainty, the solutions obtained from the GWO simulation method are on average 73.75% better than the solutions obtained from the GWO algorithm.Öğe Exploring the link between social work, entrepreneurial leadership, social embeddedness, social entrepreneurship and firm performance: a case of SMES owned by Chinese ethnic community in Turkey(Emerald Group Holdings Ltd., 2023) Sipahi Döngül, Esra; Artantaş, ErkinBoth social work activities and social initiatives, innovative solutions today it has to support the development and change of the society by producing. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of social entrepreneurship on firm performance of Turkey small and medium enterprises (SMEs) located in the Chinese ethnic community. In addition, the authors also examined the moderator role of social embeddedness in the relationship between social entrepreneurship and the Chinese ethnic community of Turkey SMEs on firm performance. Design/methodology/approach: Because it is seen that the decomposition validity is achieved between the dimensions for HTMT values, the current study, using the survey-based methodology, used structural equation modeling to achieve the research objectives. Ques-tionnaires were issued among 628 participants in selected international companies in Turkey and China. To mitigate any uncertainty and errors, the questionnaires were distributed face-to-face by hand (in Turkey), online (in China). A total of 274 questionnaires were used for the analysis which makes up to the 53.6% of the response rate. The findings of this study show that social entrepreneurial behavior influences organizational performance with a significant mediation between family ties and social networks and a strong moderation in entrepreneurial leadership. The findings of the present study largely agreed with the results of the hypothesis. The results of this study will give an idea about how social entrepreneurial behavior and entrepreneurial leadership can affect organizational performance and how social embeddedness affects this relationship. Findings: Outcomes will be important to SME leaders as they seek to link results, practices and results. SME leaders will better understand the role of social entrepreneurial behaviour and entrepreneurial leadership in corporate performance. This will apply in business practice and leadership in striving to improve the level of performance. Research limitations/implications: In this study, Turkey and China are limited to 274 participants in international companies. Because the findings of this study are limited to the sample it represents, there is no generalization of these results for all countries. However, given that the number of studies on this subject is very inadequate, this research is important in terms of shedding light on the work to be carried out next. Practical implications: This empirical research confirms the impact of social entrepreneurial behavior on organizational performance. Social entrepreneurial behavior integrates organizational performance, family ties, social networking and entrepreneurial leadership and empirically tests the relationship between them. Trade relations will ensure the interlocking of the countries involved in the research, and thus, improve the relations of the countries. Originality/value: The main aim of this study is to investigate the impact of social entrepreneurship on firm performance of Turkey SMEs located in the Chinese ethnic community. Trade relations will ensure the interlocking of the countries involved in the research and thus improve the relations of the countries. The authors believe that social entrepreneurial behaviour will close the gap in important mediation and entrepreneurial leadership between family ties and social networks and positively impact organisational performance. (2) Methods: Surveys were distributed to 578 participants in selected international companies in Turkey, Taiwan, Japan, and China. To reduce uncertainty and errors, the surveys were rigorously evaluated and did not show a normal distribution, as it was determined that 85 participants did not consciously fill out the questionnaires, and the questionnaires from the remaining 493 participants were used. By using the evaluation model of employee satisfaction based on a back propagation (BP) neural network, we explored the manifestation and impact of abusive management and self-efficacy. Using the listed real estate businesses as an example, we proposed a deep learning BP neural network-based employee job satisfaction evaluation model and a human–machine technology-based employee performance evaluation system under situational perception, according to the design requirements of human– machine interaction. (3) Results: The results show that the human–machine interface can log in according to the correct verbal instructions of the employees. In terms of age and education level variables, employees’ perceptions of leaders’ abusive management and self-efficacy are significantly different from their job performances, respectively (p < 0.01). (4) Conclusions: artificial intelligence (AI)-based human–machine interaction technology, malicious management, and self-efficacy directly affect enterprise performance and employee satisfaction.Öğe Sports for improving intergroup relations among adolescents: An intervention study in Turkey(American Psychological Association, 2021) Ekici, Hatice; İbanoğlu, Ece; Öztürk, Hatice; Yıldırım, Kadir; Melemez, Sena; Uçak, Emine; Öztürk, Mehmet AtaThis study evaluated the effectiveness of a sport-based intervention program that integrates sports with contact and conflict resolution training to improve intergroup relations of adolescents residing in Turkey. Thirty-two adolescents from central Turkey (Ankara) and 43 adolescents from the eastern Turkey (Hakkari) participated in the study. The intervention program included 13 weeks training and a 7-day mixed camp. A mixed-method approach was employed to assess its efficacy. Quantitative findings revealed that the intervention led to some degree of improvement in the conflict resolution capacities of adolescents. While the adolescents' pretest scores on the Conflict Resolution Tendency Scale (CRTS)-Total were lower than their post-test scores, the mean scores on some subscales of CRTS did not yield a statistically significant increase from pretest to posttest. Qualitative analysis revealed 3 themes reflecting the efficacy of the intervention: increased conflict resolution capacities, improved intergroup relations, and facilitating program conditions.Öğe Examination of social workers' attitudes towards sustainable development and environment in the focus of the COVID-19 pandemic(Emerald Group Holdings Ltd., 2021) Yıldırım, Filiz; Öztürk, Hatice; Abukan, BilgePurpose The purpose of this paper is to assess the views of social workers concerning theoretical and practical courses covering their professional responsibilities, focussing on sustainable development and the natural environment. It also investigates the impact on their attitudes towards sustainable development referencing their adoption of ecocentric or anthropocentric attitudes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Design/methodology/approach This study used a structural equation model to answer six research questions, while the descriptive statistics answered one of the research questions through an online survey conducted with 315 social workers. Findings This study demonstrated the need to consider attitudes to sustainable development focussing on the ecocentric and anthropocentric attitudes, as well as the current COVID-19 global pandemic. Originality/value This study is the first initiative to examine attitudes towards sustainable development and the natural environment from a social work perspective focussed on the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, it is the first to emphasise the responsibilities of social workers in relation to micro, meso and macro level interventions during and after the global pandemic.Öğe Bridging eastern and non-eastern Turkey: A study on the effectiveness of a tourism-based intervention(Elsevier, 2021) Yücel, Emine; Ekici, Hatice; Öztürk, HaticeLiving in eastern versus non-eastern Turkey reflects not merely a geographical distinction but, instead, indicates the deep sociocultural disaffection between easterners and non-easterners. To address this polarity, "We are Anatolia" [Biz Anadoluyuz] is designed as a four-day tourism-based intervention to improve the attitudes of adolescents from eastern and non-eastern Turkey towards one other. In this project, easterners visit a non-eastern city; non-easterners, an eastern one. The visitors' tourist experiences are enriched by ensuring pre-programmed direct contact activities with inhabitants of the host city in recreational settings and by increasing the salience of common ingroup identity between visitors and hosts. The present study (N = 1043) evaluated the effectiveness of this project through a pre-and post-test design with a control group. The visitors' contact intentions, psychological closeness, and warmth towards the inhabitants of the host city were assessed at the first (T1) and last days of the trips (T2), as well as three months later (T3). Except for contact intentions, participants (especially non-easterners) showed a positive change from T1 to T2 and preserved that improvement in T3. However, the intervention-related changes demonstrated only small effect sizes; moreover, no difference existed between the treatment and control groups regarding their short-term gains. We discuss the potential of tourism for societal peace.
