Özet
In this paper, the performance of indoor mobile multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) visible light communication (VLC) system is investigated. Angular diversity receiver (ADR), which has a compact design, is considered at the receiver side, and the MIMO channel capacity performance is studied for different indoor scenarios. The optimum values, which provide the best MIMO channel capacity for ADR, are determined by taking into consideration the different elevation angles and distances between the light emitting diodes (LEDs). The spatial modulation (SM) bit error rate (BER) performances are obtained for ADR with optimum values and compared with the repetition coding receiver (RCR), which has low complexity and compact design. DC-informative subcarrier intensity modulation (DCI-SIM) and pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) are considered as modulation schemes. Using analytical derivations and simulation results, it is shown that the best BER performance is achieved by RCR with DCI-SIM at the center of the room. Furthermore, the BER performance of RCR with DCI-SIM is close to the performance of ADR with SM at the points near to the corners and the walls. © 2018 IEEE.
