Abstract
Eski Türk devletlerinden itibaren kadın, Türk toplumu içerisinde önemli bir konuma sahip olmuştur. Bu durum diğer Türk devletlerinde ve Osmanlı döneminde de devam etmiştir. Lakin Türk kadınının toplumsal alanda faal olarak gözükmesi daha sonraki dönemlere tekabül eder. Bilhassa II. Meşrutiyet'in ilanıyla beraber, kadınlar özgürlüklerini ve seslerinin daha net duyulabilmesi için çeşitli dergi ve gazetelerde yazılar yazmış, cemiyetlerde de görev almıştır. Yeni Türk devletinin kurulmasının ardından, toplum için gerekli olan yeniliklerde kadınlarda göz önüne alınmış, kadınlara çeşitli haklar tanınmıştır. Cumhuriyetle beraber kadın eğitimine önem verilmiş, kadın ve erkeğin bir arada okuduğu karma eğitim uygulanmaya başlanmıştır. Tek Parti döneminde özellikle halkın okuma yazma oranını artırma ve ülkeyi kalkındırmak amacıyla köylülerin eğitimine önem verilmiş, halkodaları, millet mektepleri gibi çeşitli kurumlar faaliyete girmiştir. Cumhuriyet'in kalkınması ve ilerlemesi için en önemli adım kadınlar için atılmış, kadınların sosyal hayatta daha aktif görev almaları için kadınlar kendi aralarında teşkilatlanmalar sağlayarak çeşitli kurum ve cemiyetlerin açılmasında yarar sağlamışlardır. Kadınlar eğitimlerini tamamlamak ve daha bilinçli vatandaş olabilmek için eğitimlerini yurtdışında tamamlayarak Türkiye'deki birçok üniversitenin tabanını oluşturan önemli kişiler arasında olmuşlardır. Dünya'nın birçok yerinde, bilimsel çalışmaları ve yapmış oldukları faaliyetler ile Türkiye'nin ismini duyurmuşlardır.
Since The Ancient Turkish States , has had an important position in Turkish society.This situation continued in other Turkish States an during the Ottoman period.However, the appearance of Turkish women as active in the social sphere corresponds to later periods. In particular, II. With the proclamation of the Constitution, women wrote articles in various magazines and newspapers and took part in societies in order to make their freedom and voices heard more clearly. After the establishment of the new Turkish state, women were taken into consideration in the innovations necessary for society and women were given various rights. With the Republic, emphasis was placed on the women's education and the coeducation ,in which men and women studied together, began to be practiced. In one party era, especially fort he purpose of increasing the literacy rate of the people and improving the country, the Government gave importance the education of the villagers. Various institutions, such as public chambers and national schools, went into activity. The most important step for the development and progress of the Republic has been taken for women. For women to be more active in social life, women provided organizations among themselves and they have benefited from the opening of various institutions and societies. Women completed their education and become more conscious citizens, so they were among the important people who formed the base of many universities in Turkey. They announced the name of Turkey with their scientific studies and activities in many parts of the World.
