dc.description.abstract	Günümüzde mensubu bulunsun ya da bulunmasın, yeryüzünde yaşamış olan her din kendine inananlar tarafından doğaüstü ve emsalsiz olarak algılanmıştır. Dinler, içlerinde kendilerinden bazen korkular bazense merhametine mazhar olabilmek adına çeşitli ritüellerle yaklaşılan mabut ya da mabutlar içerebilmiştir. Antik Mısırlılar, günümüzde mensubu bulunmamasına rağmen ortaya koydukları tanrı ve ölüm inancıyla nevi şahsına münhasır diyebileceğimiz, tamamen Mısırlılara mahsus bir dini sistem vücuda getirmiştir. Bu dinin merkez noktasını oluşturan tanrılar ve öte dünya tasvirleri ise gerek hiyeroglif metinlerinde gerekse mezar süslemelerinde kendilerine oldukça önemli bir zemin bulmuştur. Çalışmamızda tarihi süreç içerisinde değişen Mısır’da, öz nitelikleriyle değişmeyen iki unsur olan tanrı ve ölüm inancına Mısırlıların ne şekilde baktığı ele alınmıştır. Tanrı inancını oluşturan temel faktörler, bu inancın bir panteona dönüşme süreci, ölümün Mısırlı bireyde neler çağrıştırdığı ve bunun sonucunda ortaya çıkan öte dünya telakkileri irdelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak Mısır dininin diğer pek çok dine kıyasla tanrı ve ölüm kavramlarını neden daha fazla ön plana çıkardığı ele alınmış ve bu iki kavramın Mısırlıların dünyayı algılayış biçimine, dine ve ölüm sonrasına bakışına etkisinin nasıl olduğu tartışılmıştır.
dc.description.abstract	Every religion that has ever existed on earth, whether or not it has any members today, has been perceived as supernatural and unique by its believers. Religions have included a deity or deities who are approached with various rituals, sometimes out of fear and sometimes in order to gain their mercy. The ancient Egyptians, although they do not have any members today, created a religious system that can be called unique with its belief in gods and death, which is completely unique to the Egyptians. The depictions of gods and the afterlife, which constitute the central point of this religion, have found a very important ground for themselves both in hieroglyphic texts and tomb decorations. In this study, we examine how the Egyptians viewed the belief in gods and death, two elements that did not change with their essential qualities in Egypt, which changed in the course of history. The basic factors that constitute the belief in God, the process of transformation of this belief into a pantheon, what death evokes in the Egyptian individual, and the resulting notions of the afterlife are analyzed. As a result, it is discussed why Egyptian religion emphasized the concepts of god and death more than many other religions and how these two concepts affected the way Egyptians perceived the world, religion and the afterlife.
