dc.description.abstract	Bu çalışmada Elif Şafak’ın “Aşk” romanı, anlatıcı kişiler, romanda kullanılan teknikler, romanın yapısı ve yazarın okuyucuya iletmek istediği mesajlar ele alınmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra mekân, zaman ve karakter tahlillerine de yer verilmiştir. İç içe geçmiş iki romanda birbirinden oldukça farklı mizaçlara sahip olan dört önemli karakter bulunmaktadır. Bu iki romanda yer alan öyküler, farklı tarihî dönemlerde ve farklı coğrafyalarda geçmektedir. Yazar, iki dünyayı birleştirerek, okuyucuyu, sürükleyici bir anlatıyla mutasavvıfların dünyasına götürür. Romandaki olaylar tek bir süreçte devam etmez. Olaylar, roman kahramanının el yazması bir romanı okumaya başlamasıyla çift boyutlu bir hale gelir. Mevlânâ ile Şems arasındaki ilişki, romanın diğer karakterlerinin bakış açılarıyla tasvir edilmiştir. Leyla ve Halife Harun Reşidin öyküsü, Hz. Musa ile Hz. Hızır’ın kıssası, Şems’in anlattığı diğer hikâyeler gibi araya ilgisiz hikâyelerin sokulmuş olması, bin bir gece masallarının teknik yapısını anımsatmaktadır. Romanın giriş kısmından sonraki dört bölümün her biri, başlığını yaşamdaki dört elementten alır: Toprak, su, rüzgâr ve ateş. Bölüm başlıkları, okuyucuya bölümün atmosferine girmesi ve romanın kurmaca dünyalarında dolaşması için anahtarlar verir.
dc.description.abstract	In this study, Elif Şafak’s novel “Aşk” was examined in aspects of the teqniques used in the novel, the structure of the novel and the messages which the author wants to convey to the readers. In addition, the novel was analyzed in terms of location, time and characters. There are four important characters intertwined with very different temperaments from each other in the two novels. The stories in these two books take place in different regions and in different historical periods. The author combines two worlds with a gripping narrative and takes the reader to the world of the sufis. Events become a double-dimensioned position with the protagonist beginning to read a manuscript novel. The novel was built with many processes and a multilayered structure. The relationship between Shams and Rumi, is depicted with the point of view of other characters of the novel. Like the story of Layla and caliph Harun Rashid, Prophet Moses and Khidr parable and other unrelated stories told by Shams recall us the technical structure of the thousand and one nights tales. Each of the four chapters of the novel, after introduction, takes its title from the four elements of life: Earth, water, wind and fire. Section headings, give the keys to the reader to enter the atmosphere of the section and to travel in the world of fiction novel.
