Özet
Bu araştırmada; doğayı merkeze alarak hareket eden insanların işletmelerin çevreye yönelik sosyal sorumluluk faaliyetlerine daha duyarlı olacakları ve bu duyarlılığında daha çok çevre dostu davranışlara yol açacağı öngörülmüştür. Bu kapsamda Aksaray Üniversitesi, Sakarya Üniversitesi ve Şırnak Üniversite’sinde öğrenim gören toplam 565 öğrenciden anketle veri toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda bireylerin çevreye ilişkin sosyal sorumluluk gösteren işletmelere yönelik tutumlarının doğa merkezli bakış ile çevreci davranış arasında tam aracılık ettiği sonucu elde edilmiştir.
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between individuals’ eco-centric perspectives and their tendencies to purchase products from companies that have commitment to enviromental and social responsibility projects or contribution to such projects, and particularly mediating role of enviromental sensitivity in this relationship. The data were collected using surveys from 563 students studying at Aksaray, Sakarya and Şırnak universities in Turkey. A hierarchical regression method was used to analyse the data. The results indicated that individuals with higher eco-centric perspectives demonstrated higher environmental sensitivity and were more interested in the companies that take part in social responsibility projects and were more prone to purchase their products. In conclusion, enviromental sensitivity/awareness has a certain mediating role between eco-centric perspective and tendency toward companies and their products that are involved in some environmental and social responsibility projects.
