Özet
Araştırmanın amacı 2020-2021 eğitim öğretim yılında kullanılan 5., 6. ve 7. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında tarihi şahsiyetlere zaman ve kronolojiyi algılama becerisi bağlamında yer verilme durumunun incelenmesidir. Bu araştırma ile 2020-2021 eğitim öğretim yılında okutulan 5., 6. ve 7. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında zaman ve kronolojiyi algılama becerisi tarihi şahsiyetler bağlamında ne derece yer verildiği ve nasıl dağılım sergilediği incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2020-2021 eğitim öğretim yılında MEB yayınlarına ait 5., 6. ve 7. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitapları oluşturmaktadır. Verileri toplamak için araştırmanın amacına uygun bir şekilde ilgili literatür incelenmiş, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman analizi tekniği ile tarama modelinde bir çalışma yapılmıştır. İnceleme sonucu elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz yöntemiyle değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre 5., 6. ve 7. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında yer alan zaman ve kronolojiyi algılama becerisinin konu kazanımlarına uygun olduğu görülmüştür. Zaman ve kronolojiyi algılama becerisi bağlamında tarihi şahsiyetlere yer verilme durumu 5. Sınıf düzeyinde zaman ve kronolojiyi algılama becerisine doğrudan kazandırılacak beceriler arasında yer verilmemiştir. Öğrenme alanlarına, konulara göre yer verilen tarihi şahsiyetlerin zaman ve kronolojiyi algılama becerisinin kazandırılmasındaki yeri ve önemi ortaya konulmuştur.
The aim of the research is to examine the situation in which historical figures are included in the 5th, 6th and 7th grade social studies textbooks used in the 2020-2021 academic year in the context of the ability to perceive time and chronology. With this research, the extent to which the skill of perceiving time and chronology is included in the 5th, 6th and 7th grade social studies textbooks taught in the 2020-2021 academic year in the context of historical figures and how it is distributed was examined. The sample of the research consists of 5th, 6th and 7th grade social studies textbooks belonging to MEB publications in the 2020-2021 academic year. In order to collect the data, the relevant literature was examined in accordance with the purpose of the research, and a study was carried out in the scanning model with the document analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods. The data obtained as a result of the examination were evaluated by descriptive analysis method. According to the findings, it was seen that the skill of perceiving time and chronology in the 5th, 6th and 7th grade social studies textbooks was suitable for the subject acquisitions. Inclusion of historical figures in the context of the skill of perceiving time and chronology is not among the skills that will be directly gained to the skill of perceiving time and chronology at the 5th grade level. The place and importance of historical figures in learning areas and subjects in gaining the ability to perceive time and chronology has been revealed.
