Özet
Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin, 14 Mayıs 1950 seçimleri ile yeni bir döneme girmesiyle uzun dönem iktidarı elinde bulunduran CHP, bu seçimlerde iktidarı Demokrat Parti'ye bırakmıştı. Ülkenin birçok yerinden halkın reyleriyle ve özgür iradesiyle seçilmiş olan milletvekillerinden meydana gelen IX. Dönem (1950-1954) Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi'nde Maraş 7 milletvekili ile temsil edilmişti. IX. Dönemi kapsayan 1950-1954 yılları arasında Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi'nde Maraş'ı temsil eden milletvekilleri şunlar olmuştu: Ahmet Bozdağ, Ahmet Kadoğlu, Abdullah Aytemiz, Mazhar Özsoy, Nedim Ökmen, Remzi Öksüz ve Selahattin Hüdayioğlu. IX. Dönem (1950-1954) Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi'nde Maraş ilini temsil eden milletvekilleri Meclis'te çeşitli konular üzerine yaptıkları konuşmalarla, verdikleri kanun teklifleri, yazılı ve sözlü önergelerle görüşlerini ortaya koymuşlardı. Milletvekillerinin yer aldığı komisyonlar, iştirak ettikleri heyetler, üzerlerinde bulundurdukları çeşitli üyelikler ve yürüttükleri görevler de bulunmaktaydı. Bu milletvekilleri yapmış oldukları faaliyetler ile ülke kalkınması ile birlikte bölgesel kalkınmada bayındırlık alanında, sağlık alanında, ekonomik ve sosyal alanda önemli roller üstlenmişlerdi.
After the Republic of Turkey entered a new period with the election on 14th of May, 1950, Republican People's Party (CHP), which held the government for a long period, left the government to Democratic Party in this election. Maraş was represented with seven members of parliament (MP) in the Nineth Period Turkish Grand National Assembly which was constituted with MPs elected with votes of the public from the many parts of the country and their free will. Between 1950 and 1954 which spanned the Nineth Period, the MPs who represented Maraş in Turkish Grand National Assembly were those: Ahmet Bozdağ, Ahmet Kadoğlu, Abdullah Aytemiz, Mazhar Özsoy, Nedim Ökmen, Remzi Öksüz ve Selahattin Hüdayioğlu. With their speeches on various subjects in the Assembly, their proposing laws, their written and oral proposals, those MPs put forward their views. There were also the commissions in which the MPs were, the boards in which they participated, several memberships they had and duties they carried out. As a result of the activites they did, these MPs took important roles on the fields of the regional development, health, economics and social as well as the country development.
