Tahar-Güzelöz yörelerinde (Nevşehir) yüzeylenen Diatomitlerin Diatom Topluluğu ve Paleoortamsal özellikleri

Özet
Bu tez çalışmasında, Nevşehir ili, Tahar ve Güzelöz yörelerinde yüzeylenen ve volkanizmaya bağlı olarak oluşan geç Miyosen-Pliyosen yaşlı volkanosedimenter birimler içerisinde yer alan diatomitlerin diatom topluluğu ve paleoortamsal özellikleri incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla, çalışma alanında, biri Tahar yöresinde (TK) (geç Miyosen yaşlı Ürgüp Formasyonu'nun Bayramhacılı Üyesi içerisinde), ikisi Güzelöz yöresinde (GÜ1 ve GÜ2) (erken Pliyosen yaşlı Ürgüp Formasyonu'nun Kışladağ Üyesi içerisinde) olmak üzere 3 adet stratigrafık kesit ölçülmüştür. Tanımlanan diatom cins ve türlerinin 20 mikroskobik alandaki bolluk dağılımları dikkate alınarak, inceleme alanındaki diatomitlerin paleoortamsal özellikleri yorumlanmıştır. Her üç lokasyonda diatomitlerin oluşumu sırasında göl suyunun tatlı su özelliğinde olduğu, suyun nötr ve asit özellik gösterdiği, Tahar lokalitesinde; göldeki su seviyesinin ve su sıcaklığının yüksek olduğu, göl tabanında çamur bulunduğu, göl suyunun besin oranının değişken olduğu, göl suyunun oksijen oranının başlangıçta yüksek, daha sonra orta seviyede bulunduğu, Güzelöz–1 lokalitesinde; göldeki su seviyesinin, su sıcaklığının, besin oranının değişken olduğu ve göl tabanınında bitkilerin bulunduğu, göl suyunun oksijen oranının başlangıçta yüksek, daha sonra orta seviyede bulunduğu, Güzelöz–2 lokalitesinde; göldeki su seviyesinin, su sıcaklığının ve besin oranının yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir.
In this thesis study, diatom community and paleoenvironmental features of the diatomites which are located in the late Miocene-Pliocene volcanosedimentary units and which are formed due to volcanism and outcropping in Tahar and Güzelöz (Nevşehir) areas were investigated. For this purpose, three stratigraphic sections were measured in the study area, one of these sections was measured in the Tahar area (TK) (in the late Miocene age Batramhacılı Member of Ürgüp Formation), and the two sections were measured in the Güzelöz area (GÜ1 and GÜ2) (early Pliocene age Kışladağ Member of Ürgüp Formation). From the diatomite samples of the three section locations, seventy-three species of 21 different diatom genera were identified with microscopic examination. The identified Diatomite’s palaeoenvirnmental properties by were evaluated by considering the distribution of numerical values (in 20 microscopic area) of the determined diatom genus and species; the formation of the diatomite at all locations, were determined the lake water was showing fresh water future and it were neutral and acid properties. At the Tahar location; lake water’s level and temperature was high, the bottom of the lake was muddy, the nutrient ratio of lake water was variable, lake water's oxygen ratio was initially high, later in the middle level, At the Güzelöz-1 location; lake water’s level, temperature and nutrient was variable. There were plants at the bottom of the lake, lake water's oxygen ratio was initially high, later in the middle level, At the Güzelöz-2 location; lake water’s level, temperature and nutrient was high.
