| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırmanın amacı, hücre konusunda bestelenen şarkıların 6. sınıf fen bilimleri dersinin öğretimine etkisini belirlemektir. Çalışma, 2017–2018 eğitim öğretim yılında, Aksaray ilindeki bir ortaokulun 54 altıncı sınıf öğrencisiyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Deney grubunda (n=24) kontrol grubunda ise (n=30) öğrenci yer almıştır. Çalışma karma yöntem araştırma desenlerinden biri olan gömülü desen ile yürütülmüş ve açıklayıcı desende tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel kısmında ön test-son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desenden, nitel kısmında ise olgubilim deseninden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmanın nicel boyutundaki veriler, hücre konusuna yönelik akademik başarı testi ve fene yönelik tutum ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Deney ve kontrol grubuna ön test olarak önce fene yönelik tutum ölçeği daha sonra hücre konusuna yönelik akdemik başarı testi uygulanmıştır. Deney grubunda 6 ders saati içinde, sözleri araştırmacı tarafından yazılan, bestesi alanında uzman olan bir müzik eğitimcisi tarafından yapılan 5 adet notalı şarkı sözleriyle öğretim desteklenmiştir. Şarkıların bestelenmesi aşamasında çoğunlukla 7'li hece ölçüsü esas alınarak süreç planlanmıştır. Şarkıların öğretiminde müzik öğretmeni ile işbirliği gerçekleştirilmiştir. Kontrol grubunda ise programın öngördüğü şekilde dersler işlenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda her iki gruba fene yönelik tutum ölçeği ve hücre konusuna yönelik başarı testi son test olarak uygulanmıştır. Nitel veri ise yarı yapılandırılmış görüşmeler ile elde edilmiştir. Nicel veriler, SPSS 24.0 ve Microsoft Excell programlarıyla analiz edilmiştir. Nitel veriler ise, içerik analizine tabi tutulmuştur. Çalışmanın sonucunda akademik başarı ve tutum açısından deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir fark olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Nitel verilerin içerik analizi yapılarak 4 tema ve 22 koda ulaşılmıştır. Bu araştırma sonucunda hücre konusuna ilişkin bestelenen şarkıların, öğrencilerin akademik başarıları, fene yönelik tutumları ve görüşleri üzerinde pozitif bir etkiye sahip olduğu saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin fen bilimleri dersinde kullanılan şarkıları akılda kalıcı, eğlenceli ve öğretici buldukları, bundan dolayı başka konuların da benzer uygulamalar yapılarak süreci daha etkili kılacağı düşünüldüğü için buna yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this study is to determine the effects of songs composed on the cell in the teaching of the 6th grade science course. The study was conducted with 54 sixth grade students in a secondary school in Aksaray in 2017-2018 academic years. In the experimental group (n = 24) and in the control group (n = 30) students took part. The study was carried out with the inserted design, which is one of the mixed method research designs and projected in descriptive design. In the quantitative part of the study, semi-experimental design was used in the pretest-posttest control group and phenomenological pattern was used in the qualitative part. The quantitative data of the study were collected with the academic achievement test and the attitude scale towards science. As a pretest, firstly the attitude scale towards science and then the academic achievement test for the cell subject was applied to the experimental and control groups. In the experimental group, the teaching was supported within six-hour courses by the lyrics of 5 notes, whose words were written by the researcher and composed by the expert music trainer in his field. The process in composing songs was planned on the basis of 7 syllabic forms. Cooperation with the music teacher was conducted in the teaching of songs. In the control group, the lessons are taught as prescribed by the program. At the end of the study, the attitude scale towards science and the achievement test for the cell subject were applied as a post test. Qualitative data were obtained by semi-structured interviews. Quantitative data were analyzed with SPSS 24.0 and Microsoft Excel programs. Qualitative data were subjected to content analysis. As a result of the study, a significant difference was found in favor of experimental group in terms of academic achievement and attitude. 4 themes and 22 codes were obtained by analyzing content of the qualitative data. As a result of this study, it has been determined that songs composed on the cell subject have a positive effect on students' academic achievements, attitudes towards science and their opinions. Because it was thought that the students find the songs used in the science lesson as memorable, entertaining and instructive and therefore other subjects make the process more effective by making similar applications, it was given suggestions to this purpose. | |
