| dc.description.abstract | This special issue ofJournal of Information Security and Applica-tionsfocuseson innovative methodsand techniques in ordertoaddress unique security issues introduced by new computingparadigmsand techniques.Securing computers, networks andinformation, especially towards enterprise integration, arehighly relevant nowadays in view of rampant attacks oncomputer information systems and networks, evolving BYODpractices in enterprises, and particularly due to drives towardscloud-based hosting of enterprise systems. Solutions fromboth theoretical and applied research need to address a rangeof topics in security of systems and networks such as accesscontrol and intrusion detection, information assurance, cryp-tographic techniques and key management, autonomous andadaptive security, and trust and privacy. It is also absolutelyessential to take into account practical aspects of securityconsiderations in systems and networks in proposed and/oradapted solutions before their ultimate deployment. | |
