Abstract
Yapılan bu araştırmada fen liseleri ve fen-sosyal bilimler proje imam hatip liseleri öğrencilerinin akademik başarı ve öz kontrollerinin duygusal zekâ düzeylerini yordama gücünün belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmada ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmış olup araştırma grubunu Kırşehir ilinde bulunan Prof. Dr. İlhan Kılıçözlü Fen Lisesi, Abdulkadir Özcan Fen ve Sosyal Bilimler Proje Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi ve Fatımatüz Zehra Fen ve Sosyal Bilimler Proje Anadolu İmam Hatip Liselerinde 9., 10. ve 11. sınıflarda eğitim gören 393 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Schutte Duygusal Zekâ Ölçeği ve Öz-Kontrol Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen veriler SPSS 22 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi test etmek amacıyla Pearson Momentler Çarpım Korelasyon Katsayısı kullanılmıştır. Bağımsız değişkenlerin bağımlı değişkenler üzerindeki yordayıcı etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla regresyon analizi uygulanmıştır. Değişkenler arasında anlamlı fark olup olmadığının tespiti amacıyla ise uygun yerlerde t testi, ANOVA testi ve ki kare testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen bulgulara göre cinsiyet değişkeni duygusal zekâ düzeyi ve öz kontrol düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir fark olmadığı fakat cinsiyet ile akademik başarı arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğu görülmüştür. Sınıf düzeyi değişkeni ile duygusal zekâ düzeyi arasında anlamlı bir fark olmadığı fakat sınıf düzeyi ile öz kontrol ve duygusal zekâ arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğu görülmüştür. Okul türü değişkeninin ise duygusal zekâ düzeyi ve öz kontrol düzeyi ile anlamlı bir farklılık göstermezken akademik başarı ile anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği bulunmuştur. Öz disiplin ve dürtüsellik alt boyutlarının duygusal zekanın anlamlı yordayıcıları olduğu araştırmanın son bulgusudur.
This study aimed to determine the power to predict the emotional intelligence levels of academic success and self-control of science high schools and science-social sciences project imam hatip high schools. Relational scanning model was used in the study, and the research group was made by Prof. Dr. İlhan Kılıçözlü Science High School, Abdulkadir Özcan Project Imam Hatip High School, and Fatımatüz Zehra Project Imam Hatip High Schools consist of 393 students studying in 9th, 10th, and 11th grades. Personal Information Form, Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale, and Self-Control Scale were used as data collection tools in the research. The data obtained as a result of the research were analyzed using the SPSS 22 package program. Pearson Product Moments Correlation Coefficient was used to test the relationship between variables in the analysis of the data. Regression analysis was applied to determine the predictive effects of independent variables on dependent variables. In order to determine whether there is a significant difference between the variables, t-test, ANOVA test, and chi-square test were used where appropriate. According to the findings obtained as a result of the research, it was seen that there was no significant difference between gender variable emotional intelligence level and self-control levels, but there was a significant difference between gender and academic achievement. It was observed that there was no significant difference between the class level variable and emotional intelligence level, but there was a significant difference between class level and self-control and emotional intelligence. On the other hand, it was found that the school type variable did not show a significant difference with emotional intelligence level and self-control level but showed a significant difference with academic success. It is the latest finding of the research that the sub-dimensions of self-discipline and impulsivity are significant predictors of emotional intelligence.
