Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmen Adaylarının Tarihi Çevre Farkındalıklarının İncelenmesi

Özet
Bu araştırmada sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının tarihi çevre farkındalıklarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli Üniversitesi sosyal bilgiler Öğretmenliği bölümüne devam eden 82 öğretmen adayıyla yapılan araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması desenine uygun olarak yürütülmüştür. Veri toplama aracı olarak soru formu kullanılmıştır. Soru formu ile elde edilen veriler betimsel veri analiz kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre sosyal bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının hemen hemen hepsinin tarihi çevre tanımını yapabildikleri ve tarihi çevre tanımına uygun mekânlara gittikleri belirlenmiştir. Öğretmen adayları öğrenim gördükleri Nevşehir ilinde bulunan tarihi çevre kategorisinde bulunan gitmiş oldukları mekânlar içerisinde en çok müze ziyaretleri yer alırken, yeraltı şehirleri, kiliseler ve kaleler gittikleri diğer tarihi çevreler arasındadır. Öğretmen adaylarından çok azı Nevşehir’deki tarihi çevreleri bilmediğini çok az bir kısmı da bildiğini fakat gitmediğini ifade etmiştir. Sosyal bilgiler öğretim programının tarihi çevre açısından rolünün en çok, tarihi bilgi sağlaması açısından önemli olduğuna değinmişlerdir. Tarihi çevre ziyaretinin öğretmen adaylarına tarihi tanıma kazanımı edindikleri belirlenmiştir.
In this study, it was aimed to examine the historical environment awareness of pre-service social studies teachers. The research, which was conducted with 82 pre-service teachers attending the social studies teaching department of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University in the 2021-2022 academic year, was conducted in accordance with the case study design from qualitative research methods. The students who participated in the study were selected according to the convenience sampling method. An open-ended question form was used as a data collection tool. The data obtained with the question form were analyzed using descriptive data analysis. According to the findings of the study, it was determined that almost all of the pre-service social studies teachers were able to define the historical environment and visited places suitable for the definition of historical environment. Among the places that pre-service teachers have visited in Nevşehir province, museum visits are the most commwhile underground cities, churches and castles are among the other historical environments they have visited. 3 of the pre-service teachers stated that they did not know the historical environments in Nevşehir and 4 of them stated that they knew but did not visit. They mentioned that the role of the social studies curriculum in terms of historical environment is most important in terms of providing historical information. The historical environment visit provided pre-service teachers with the acquisition of historical recognition. Suggestions that can be developed in this direction are that applied travel-observation activities can be carried out within the scope of history courses given to prospective social studies teachers and promotional activities can be carried out for the cities where undergraduate students are located.
