Özet
İnsanın yaşamı boyunca gelişimi devam etmektedir. Özellikle doğumdan sonraki süreçte meydana gelen hızlı gelişim kasların uygun hale gelmesiyle birlikte bir takım becerilerin kazanılmasını sağlamaktadır. Hareketlerin yapılabilirliği bazı sıralı evrelerle gerçekleşmektedir. Her evre sonunda kazanılan hareket yetisi motor beceri olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Özellikle sporda hareketlerin uygunluğu ve amaca hizmet edebilmesi açısından motor gelişim oldukça önemlidir. Bu çalışmada, spor bilimleri alanında yapılmış motor gelişim konulu araştırmaların bazı kriterlere göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında motor gelişim konulu araştırmalara ait veriler elde edildikten sonra atıf sayılarına ve kullanılan anahtar kelimelerin kullanım sıklıklarına göre analiz edilmiştir. Analizlerde Web of Science tarafından sağlanan bilimsel veriler kullanılmıştır.
Development continues throughout human life. Especially the rapid development that occurs in the postpartum period provides the acquisition of some skills with the appropriateness of the muscles. The feasibility of movements is realized through some sequential phases. The ability to move at the end of each stage is defined as motor skill. Especially in sports, motor development is very important in terms of the appropriateness of the movements and their ability to serve the purpose. In this study, it is aimed to examine the researches on motor development in the field of sports sciences according to some criteria. Within the scope of the study, after the data of the researches on motor development were obtained, they were analyzed according to the number of citations and the frequency of use of the keywords used. Scientific data provided by Web of Science were used in the analyses. In order to reach researches on motor development, 226 studies were reached. It has been determined that the studies carried out by 575 authors from 40 different countries, published by 47 different journals, working in 247 different universities/institutions. The findings of our study show that research has been in an increasing trend since the 1980s. The number of studies conducted between 2003 and 2021 has increased rapidly and in parallel, there has been a rapid increase in the number of citations. The year with the highest number of documents is 2020. A total of 17 studies were conducted this year. When the change in the number of citations was examined, it was seen that the most citations were in 2020 (N=165) and 2021 (N=161). As the type of research, it was determined that the most meeting abstract and proceeding papers were made (f=54.86%), the majority of them were in English (f=95.57%), and the United States-based studies (f=55.75%). In a research conducted in 2008, authors named Piek Jan P., Dawson Lisa, Smith Leigh M., and Gasson Natalie became the most cited authors on this subject by conducting a joint research (N=375). Webster Elizabeth Kipling, who works at the University of Tennessee in the USA, draws attention in terms of total link strength (N=81) and number of researches (N=14). It has been seen that the most influential journal on this subject is the Human Movement Science journal. It was determined that the country in the first place according to the number of citations was Australia (N=456). Ranking of key concepts according to their frequency of use; motor development, children, motor skills, fundamental motor skills, assessment and coordination. As a result, it has been analyzed that researches in this field focus on the motor development of children and disabled people. It has been determined that some measurement tests have been put forward to monitor motor developments and there are researches on the relationship between motor development and both physical and mental developments. The number of researches on motor development reveals the importance of the subject. It is thought that our study will contribute to the researchers who will conduct research on motor development in terms of presenting a general map.
