Sorun odaklı medya: Çözüm gazeteciliği bağlamında ekonomi haberlerine yönelik bir inceleme

| dc.description.abstract | Medya, tarihsel süreç boyunca bireyleri yaşanan gelişmelere dair bilgilendirmekte, toplumun haber alma hakkını yerine getirmeye çalışmaktadır. Ancak medyanın sıklıkla sorunlar üzerinden çizdiği haber çerçevesi eleştirilmekte, haberin çözümleri de içermesi gerektiği yönünde bir önerme söz konusudur. Buradan hareketle ortaya çıkan çözüm gazeteciliği, toplumun yaşadığı sorunların dile getirilmesinin yanı sıra çözüm önerilerini içeren bir habercilik anlayışını kapsamaktadır. Bu çalışma, Türk medyasındaki ekonomi haberlerini çözüm gazeteciliği perspektifinde ele almakta, yaşanan ekonomik sorunların nasıl çerçevelendiğini nicel ve nitel içerik analizi yöntemi ile incelemektedir. Bu bağlamda Türk medyasında ekonomik sorunların hangi yönlerinin öne çıkarıldığı, çözüm önerilerine ne denli yer verildiği çalışmanın ana temasını oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada internet sayfası en çok tıklanan beş basılı gazetenin (Hürriyet, Milliyet, Sözcü, Sabah, Cumhuriyet) ekonomiye ilişkin bakış açıları değerlendirildiğinde; nitelikli ve yeterli bir çözüm gazeteciliğinden söz etmek mümkün değildir. Gazetelerin ekonomik sorunları politik bir düzlemde ele alması, çözüm gazeteciliğinin önündeki en büyük engel olarak görülmektedir. Ayrıca araştırma bulguları gazetelerin çözüm önerisi sunan haberlerde dahi çözüm gazeteciliği bilinci ve farkındalığı ile hareket etmediğini göstermektedir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Throughout the historical process, the media informs individuals about developments and fulfills society's right to receive news. However, the news framework that the media often frames through problems is criticized, and there is a suggestion that the news should also include solutions. Solution journalism, which emerged from this point of view, covers an understanding of journalism that includes solution proposals as well as expressing the problems experienced by the society. This study examines the economic news in the Turkish media from the perspective of solution journalism and analyzes how the economic problems are framed through quantitative and qualitative content analysis. When the way in which the five printed newspapers (Hürriyet, Milliyet, Sözcü, Sabah, Cumhuriyet), whose websites are the most clicked on, cover the economy is evaluated, it is not possible to discuss solution journalism with qualified and sufficient solutions. The fact that newspapers cover economic problems from a political perspective is seen as the biggest obstacle to solution journalism. In addition, the findings of the research show that newspapers do not behave with the consciousness and awareness of solution journalism even in news items that offer solutions. | |
