Notalgia paresthetica is a condition characterized by localized pain, hypoesthesia, paresthesia and increased pigmentation, usually in the lower part of the scapula. Its etiopathogenesis is not fully known. Many physical therapy modalities are used in the treatment of notalgia paresthetica. In fact, although it is not as rare as one might think, it often does not come to mind. Our case was a 22-year-old female patient who had back pain that had been going on for 3 months. She was also talking about an itchy and hyperpigmented discoloration on her back. The patient was diagnosed with notalgia paresthetica, and medical treatment and an appropriate exercise program were started. Inspection should be performed in patients presenting with spinal pain, especially if neuropathic complaints are present, and the diagnosis of notalgia paresthetica should definitely be considered in patients with skin lesions.
