Ters yüz öğrenme modelinin biyoloji dersi hücre ünitesi akademik başarısına olan etkisinin araştırılması

| dc.description.abstract | Bu çalışma ile ters yüz öğrenme modelinin dokuzuncu sınıf öğrencilerinin biyoloji akademik başarısına olan etkisi ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada ters yüz öğrenme modelinin etkililiğini belirlemek üzere dokuzuncu sınıf biyoloji dersi ünitelerinden Hücre ünitesi ele alınmıştır. Çalışma 60 kişiden (kız: 32, erkek: 28) oluşan dokuzuncu sınıf öğrencileri ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada yarı deneysel desenlerden ön test – son test eşleştirilmiş kontrol gruplu desen ele alınmıştır. Çalışma için iki farklı grup ele alınarak bu gruplardan biri deney (kız:15, erkek:15), diğeri kontrol grubu (kız:17, erkek:13) olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada öncelikle her iki gruba birden araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen hücre akademik başarı testi, ön test olarak uygulanmış ve bu testler ilişkisiz örneklem t-testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Analizlerin sonucunda gruplar arasında anlamlı bir farklılığın olmadığı belirlendikten sonra deney grubu öğrencilerine ters yüz öğrenme modeli, kontrol grubu öğrencilerine sunum, soru cevap, tartışma yöntemleri uygulanarak hücre ünitesi beş haftalık bir süreçte işlenmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda öğrencilere uygulanan son testler ilişkisiz örneklem t-testi ve ilişkili örneklem t-testi ile analiz edilerek yorumlanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda deney grubu öğrencilerine ait son test sonuçları ile kontrol grubu öğrencilerine ait son test sonuçları arasında deney grubu lehine anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This study examined the effect of the flipped learning model (FLM) on the academic success of ninth-grade students in biology. The Cell unit from the ninth-grade biology curriculum was chosen to determine the effectiveness of the flipped learning model. This study was conducted with 60 ninth-grade students (32 girls and 28 boys). A pre-test post-test paired control group design, one of the quasiexperimental designs, was used in the study. Two different groups were selected: one as the experimental group (15 girls and 15 boys) and the other as the control group (17 girls and 13 boys). Initially, the Cell Academic Achievement Test developed by the researcher was administered to both groups as a pre-test and analyzed using an independent sample t-test. After determining that there was no significant difference between the groups, the flipped learning model was applied to the experimental group, while presentation, question-answer, and discussion methods were used for the control group over a five-week period. At the end of the study, the post-tests administered to the students were analyzed and interpreted using independent samples t-test and paired samples t-test. The results showed a significant difference in favor of the experimental group between the post-test scores of the experimental and the control groups. | |
