Abstract
Örgütlerde çalışan bireylerin sahip oldukları kişilik yapıları, bireylerin iş yaşamını, örgüte sundukları katkılarını, işe yönelik tutumlarını etkileyen önemli bir çalışma alanı olmaktadır. Bireylerin doğumundan itibaren şekillenmeye başlayan kişilik yapıları ile paralel bir biçimde zamana yönelik algıları da oluşmaya başlamaktadır. Dolayısıyla bireylerin, kişilik yapısı ile birlikte, sahip oldukları zaman perspektiflerini de iş yaşamına yansıttıkları söylenebilir. Bu bağlamda bireylerin kişilik yapıları ile zaman perspektifi arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi araştırmanın temel amacı olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu amaca yönelik olarak A tipi ve B tipi kişilik yapıları ile Zimbardo ve Boyd`un Zaman Perspektifi Kuramı ele alınarak, literatür taraması yapılmış ve Kütahya`da faaliyet gösteren bir hizmet işletmesinde çalışan 120 personele anket uygulanmıştır. Geçerli olan 114 anket SPSS 18.0 istatistiksel paket programında analize tabi tutulmuştur. Analiz sonuçlarına göre bireylerin A ve B tipi kişilik yapıları ile zaman perspektifleri arasında ilişki olduğuna yönelik hipotez kabul edilmiştir. A tipi kişilik yapısı ile geçmiş-olumsuz ve şimdi-kaderci zaman perspektifleri arasında pozitif yönde fakat zayıf bir ilişki bulunmuştur.
The personality traits of individuals working in organizations are an important area of study that affects the work life of individuals, their contributions to the organization and their attitudes towards work. People's perceptions of time start to emerge in parallel with the personality traits that have been developing since the birth of individuals. Therefore, it can be said that individuals, together with their personality traits, also reflect their time perspectives to their business life. In this context, the main purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between personality traits and time perspectives of individuals. For this purpose, type A-type B personality traits and Zimbardo and Boyd `s Time Perspective Theory were discussed, and a literature review was made towards these. A questionnaire was applied to 120 personnel working in a service company operating in Kütahya. The valid 114 questionnaires were analyzed in SPSS 18.0 statistical package program. According to the results of the analysis, the hypothesis was approved which concluded that there is a relationship between the type A and type B personality traits and time perspectives. A positive, but weak relationship was found between type A personality trait and past-negative and present-fatalistic time perspectives.
