In this method, there are many factors that affect the printing quality, chief among which is temperature. The fusion temperature of the material is created by an aluminum heating block in the extruder. Stability and a constant temperature for the aluminum heating block are inevitable requirements for print quality. This study aims to use the thermal barrier coating method to increase the thermal efficiency and stability of the aluminum heating block by reducing heat loss. Furthermore, it aims to perform steady-state thermal analysis using finite element analysis software. The analyses are carried out in stagnant air environment and at the printing temperature of acrylonitrile butadiene styrene material. In order to examine the effects of different coating materials, blocks coated with two different coating materials, as well as uncoated blocks, were used in the analyses. The coating made with yttria-stabilized zirconia and pyrochlore-type lanthanum zirconate materials, together with the NiCRAl bond layer, prevent temperature fluctuation by preventing heat loss. The effects of the coating method on average heat flux density, temperature distribution of blocks, and temperature distribution of the filament tube hole were investigated. Additionally, changes in flow velocity were determined by examining the effects of the thermal barrier coating method on temperature distribution. The average heat flux density in the coated blocks decreased by 10.258%. Throughout the investigation, the temperature distributions in the coated blocks became homogeneous. It was also observed that both coating materials produce the same effect. This article performs a steady-state thermal analysis of a conventional model and thermal-barrier-coated models to increase print quality by reducing heat loss from the aluminum heating block.Öğe The effect of self-regulated programming learning on undergraduate students' academic performance and motivation(Emerald Insight, 2022) Öztürk, MücahitPurpose The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of self-regulated programming learning on undergraduate students' academic performance and motivation compared to traditional methods. The participants were 360 students studying in various departments at different universities in Turkey for computer programming. The scale consists of 33 items under conceptual knowledge, algorithmic thinking, and evaluation subscale. While there was no significant difference between the students' conceptual knowledge and algorithmic thinking skills, the evaluation skills of male students differed significantly compared to females. Programming experience has a significant effect on conceptual knowledge, algorithmic thinking, and evaluation. The algorithmic thinking skills of the students who have low, middle, and high-level programming experience differed significantly. In terms of the development of conceptual knowledge and evaluation skills, it was observed that students should have at least one year of programming experience, but this experience will not make a significant difference if it is four years or more. It is thought that this scale, which is structured for different applications (e.g., web, game, robot) and learning environments (e.g., text, block) within the framework of its programming capabilities (conceptual, semantic, strategic knowledge), will contribute significantly to the evaluation of computational thinking as programming oriented.Öğe Ters yüz edilmiş yabancı dil sınıfında öğrencilerin öz-düzenleyici öğrenme becerileri ve akademik başarıları arasındaki ilişki(İnönü Üniversitesi, 2018) Öztürk, Mücahit; Çakıroğlu, ÜnalSon yıllarda yükseköğretimde yaygınlaşmaya başlayan Ters yüz sınıf modeli (TYS), öğrencilerin evde etkileşimli teknolojiler aracılığıyla ders içeriğini öğrendikleri, yüz yüze öğrenme ortamında ise öğrenci merkezli etkinlikler ile öğrenilen bilgilerin uygulanmasını yapabilecekleri bir modeldir. The drone system has a variable number of rotors from four to twelve with portable arms. As a comparative study, a conventional eight rotors (Octocopter) and independently controlled twelve rotors (Dodecacopter) configures are chosen for the proposed universal drone simulations to benchmark the trajectory performance. Besides, since the arm lengths can be changed in this drone system, the effect of different arm lengths on this performance is also examined. The comparisons are performed on both systems in five different working condition, such as without disturbance, with periodic disturbances and non-periodic disturbances. In the simulations, when the amplitude was increased by 100% under periodic disturbing effect, an increase of 69.7% and 47.6% was observed in the root mean square of the position errors of the Octocopter and Dodecacopter systems, respectively. Similarly, for non-periodic disturbances, an increase of %13 and %7 was observed for both systems, respectively. According to the obtained results, the octocopter system is partially more stable without disturbing effect while the dodecacopter system is more stable flight than octocopter systems as the disturbance effect increases.Öğe Ayrıntılama kuramı çerçevesindeki çevrimiçi ders tasarımının akademik başarı ve kalıcılık üzerindeki etkileri(Kastamonu Üniversitesi, 2016) Çakıroğlu, Ünal; Öztürk, MücahitBu çalışmanın amacı Uzaktan eğitimde Ayrıntılama Kuramı(AK) ile tasarlanan bir dersin öğrencilerin akademik başarısına ve öğrenmenin kalıcılığına etkisini incelemektir. One of the most significant constraints of distance education conducted by several universities is the lack of qualified content and the limitations in the presentation of the content. Herein there is a need for reference models that will show how to make material design, constitute an efficient theoretical base for presentation of the course content. Therefore, in this study for material design in Distance Education, Elaboration Theory was employed, and a sample course design was accomplished. With its seven basic components (an Elaborative Sequence, Learning Prerequisite Sequences, Summarizers, Synthesizers, Analogies, Cognitive Strategy Activators, Learner Control) Elaboration Theory guides the teaching designers about how the teaching content and its presentations should be. In this study, a material design including four subjects was conducted for an introductory programming course in the scope of guiding principles of ET, and at every stage of this design, four experts' views were received in order to ensure its validity. The suggested style of material design is hoped to eliminate at a visible level the insufficiencies in favor of synchronous distance learning practices.Öğe An analysis of the journey of open and distance education: Major concepts and cutoff points in research trends(Athabasca University, 2019) Çakıroğlu, Ünal; Kokoç, Mehmet; Gökoğlu, Seyfullah; Öztürk, Mücahit; Erdoğdu, FatihIn an effort to understand trends in open and distance education more comprehensively, this study aims to identify the research trends, major concepts, and cutoff points in the articles published between 2009 and 2016.
