Ankara keçisi tekelerinde reprodüktif hormonların yıllık değişimi

Annual change of haematological parameters in Angora goats
(Taylor and Francis Ltd., 2020) Polat, Hüseyin; Pehlivan, Erkan; Dellal, Gürsel
The aim of this study was to investigate that annual change of haematological parameters in Angora goat. Thirteen goats (six female and seven male aged 1.5 years at the beginning of the experiment) were used in this study. For this purpose, to determine haematological parameters, blood samples were taken from jugular vein of each goat in every month for one year. Red blood cells (RBC), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), haematocrit (Hct), haemoglobin (Hb), mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration (MCHC), mean corpuscular haemoglobin (MCH), red cell distribution width (RDW), white blood cell (WBC), lymphocytes (Lym), granulocyte (Gra), monocyte (Mon), thrombocytes (THR), mean platelet volume (MPV), plateletcrit (Pct) and platelet distribution width (PDW) were analysed by haematology analyser. The data obtained were analysed using two-way repeated measures analysis of variance (ANOVA). As a result of statistical analysis, gender x month interactions were statistically different (P < 0.01) for RBC, MCV, Hb, Mon, THR, MPV and Pct, while significant differences (P < 0.01) were found among the months for Hct, MCH, MCHC, RDW, WBC, Lym, Gra and PDW. As a result of this study, it was determined that seasonal changes, different physiological periods and environmental stress that occurred during experimental periods had significant effect on the annual pattern of erythrocyte, leukocyte and thrombocytes of Angora goats. © 2018, © 2018 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

Annual change of Prolactin and growth hormone in Angora goats
(Taylor & Francis Ltd, 2018) Pehlivan, Erkan; Polat, Hüseyin; Dellal, Gürsel
In this study, it was aimed to investigate the relationship between concentrations of Prolactin (PRL) and Growth hormone (GH) and seasonal factors such as temperature and photoperiod for one year in 13 heads (6 female and 7 male) of 1.5 years old Angora goat. For this purpose, to determine hormones concentrations, blood samples were taken from jugular vein of each goat in every month for one year. Hormones analyses in the serum were performed by enzyme immunoassay (EIA) method. Monthly climatic values and photoperiod of the period during which the experiment was conducted, were obtained from the Turkish State Meteorological Service. In the study, in order to determine any possible differences in the observed hormones concentrations with respect to genders and months, repeated measures ANOVA analyses was performed. As a result of statistical analysis, there were significant differences among the (p < 0.01) and genders (p < 0.05) for GH concentrations, while there were significant interaction (p < 0.01) of gender x month for PRL concentrations. As a result of the study, it was determined that the PRL releases were seasonally dependent and significantly affected by the seasonal changes of photoperiod and temperature, while GH was not seasonally dependent in Angora goats.

Annual change of reproductive hormones in female angora goats
(2017) Pehlivan, Erkan; Polat, Hüseyin; Dellal, Gürsel
In this research, annual changes of melatonin, gonadotropin-releasing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, estrogen, testosterone and progesterone were studied on 6 heads of 1.5 years old female Angora goat. To determine hormones concentrations, blood samples were taken from jugular vein of each goat in every month for a year. The blood samples were centrifuged at 4000xg for 5 min. and serum was stored at -20°C until analyses time. Hormones analyses in the serum were performed by enzyme immunoassay (EIA) method. Monthly climatic values and photoperiod were obtained from the Turkish State Meteorological Service and temperature-humidity index was calculated with climatic values. In the study, in order to determine any possible differences in the observed hormones concentrations with respect to months, repeated measures ANOVA analysis was performed. As a result of statistical analysis, there were no significant differences among the months for gonadotropin-releasing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone and testosterone concentration, while significant differences were found among the months for melatonin, luteinizing hormone and progesterone, and estrogen concentration in female Angora goats. According the results of this study, could be concluded that the releases of reproductive hormones examined in female Angora goats was seasonally dependent.

Annual change of the testosterone hormone in male white goats
(Elsevier Ltd., 2011) Polat, Hüseyin; Dellal, Gürsel; Baritci, İlkay; Pehlivan, Erkan
In this research, changes of testosterone hormone in the blood serum of 9 male (3 of age 2 and 6 of age 4) White goats have been studied for a duration of one year. Analyses performed show that the general monthly averages of the testosterone hormone of the male White goats in the period of 12 months starting in January were (2.11 +/- 0.73), (2.22 +/- 0.52), (2.44 +/- 0.59), (2.10 +/- 0.41), (2.35 +/- 1.00), (3.42 +/- 1.48), (4.77 +/- 1.32), (5.61 +/- 1.40), (7.91 +/- 1.24), (10.84 +/- 1.59), (7.82 +/- 1.60), and (2.63 +/- 0.61) ng mL(-1), respectively (P<0.05). The effect of the age factor on the testosterone production in White goats (age 2 and 4) was generally significant (P<0.05) for differences among months in each age group, but not significant for differences between age groups in each month. The testosterone hormone levels of male White goats encountered significant changes (P<0.05) with respect to the season.

Changes of thyroid hormones in different physiological periods in white goats
(Pakistan Agricultural Scientists Forum, 2014) Polat, Hüseyin; Dellal, Gürsel; Baritci, İlkay; Pehlivan, Erkan
The levels of thyroid hormones are important indicator of metabolic activity. The knowledge of the metabolic activity in different physiological periods, animals readjusted dietary regimen. Therefore, in this study, changes of triiodotironine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) hormones in the blood serum of female (n=14) and male (n=9) white goats were studied for a duration of one year through different physiological periods [breeding (September-October), gestation (November to March), postpartum-sucking (April-May) and milking (June to August)]. Results show that the differences in T3 and T4 hormone levels between sexes are statistically unimportant in breeding, gestation, postpartum-sucking and milking periods, while the changes for each sex between the physiological periods are important (p<0.05). Also, it has been found out that the thyroid hormone levels in different physiological periods are under the influence of the environmental temperature changes.

Effect of seasonal water temperature variation on the blood serums thyroid hormone levels of juvenile chub fishes (Squalius cappadocicus)
(Taylor and Francis Ltd., 2020) Özeren, Saniye Cevher; Kankılıç, Gökben Başaran; Erkmen, Belda; Polat, Hüseyin; Pehlivan, Erkan
In this study, the seasonal change (varying with water temperature) of thyroid hormones [Total triiodothyronine (TT3) and Total thyroxine (TT4)] in the blood serums of juvenile chub fish (Squalius cappadocicus) has been investigated. The research has been conducted on the chub fish caught in Melendiz Stream (Aksaray) at different times (2010–April, June, July, and November; 2011–February and March). As a result of the hormonal analyses on blood serums, TT3 and TT4 levels have shown meaningful changes (p < 0.05) inversely proportional to the water temperature. It made us think that this change is due to adaptation decreased/increased metabolic (energy) activity provided by the fishes against temperature stress.
