Öğe A multi-criteria decisionıon-making model for ranking smart megacities and defing their key performance indicators(Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi, 2023) Baki, RahmiThe aim of this study was to develop an integrated and innovative approach to facilitate the ranking of evaluation criteria used to assess and compare smart megacities (SMCs). The methodology used to design the approach was based on Criteria Importance through CRITIC and CODAS. In this method, the degree of importance of each item of the criteria affecting the concept of a smart city was determined by CRITIC, an objective weighting method. Then, megacities can be compared using the CODAS technique to determine the extent to which they have adopted smart city concepts. In the current study, 32 SMCs were compared in four main areas and 20 subcategories. An analysis of the order of importance given to each area found that mobility and activities (0.32) was highest, followed closely by health and safety (0.313), opportunities (0.198), and governance (0.168). The subcategories with the greatest weight were the availability of a website/application that enables citizens to easily donate surplus items (0.076), online information about traffic conditions (0.073), and online access to job opportunities (0.062). In addition, it was determined that the most successful megacities applying the smart city concept are Beijing and Hangzhou. This study has the potential to be considered a pioneer in the literature in terms of the proposed methodology for an empirical evaluation to support smart megacity planning.Öğe An integrated multi-criteria structural equation model for green supplier selection(Korean Society for Precision Engineeing, 2022) Baki, RahmiThe aims of the current study are to determine the criteria to be considered in a green supplier selection (GSS) process, develop an integrated decision-making approach using structural equation modelling (SEM) and fuzzy additive ratio assessment (ARAS) techniques to rank suitable suppliers, and investigate the effectiveness of this approach in collective decision-making. The study’s ultimate objective is to propose a method created from the perspective of fuzzy logic in which criterion weights are determined using SEM to resolve decision-making challenges such as GSS, in which a compromise solution is desired. In the first stage of the study, relevant literature as examined in detail. Eight main criteria and 27 sub-criteria were detected, taking into account classical, green, and social supplier selection (SS) criteria. A questionnaire was administered to 254 participants who were actively involved in SS processes for their companies, and the data were analyzed using SEM. In the second phase, six suppliers were evaluated considering the criteria found to have a positive impact on GSS, and fuzzy ARAS was applied. The results showed that the factors affecting GSS are quality (0.291), social responsibility (0.222), service (0.21), cost (0.149) and green product (0.128). The study presents an effective, objective, and fast method that can be used in decision-making problems such as GSS, that prevents potential loss of information and lack of transparency through an integrated approach, and that can be tested with a generalizable framework. The proposed hybrid method is an efficient and practical approach that can be tested on many decision-making problems, such as SS.Öğe An integrated, multi-criteria approach based on environmental, economic, social, and competency criteria for supplier selection(EDP Sciences, 2021) Baki, RahmiSupplier selection (SS), which is a critical stage of supply chain management (SCM), is no longer evaluated solely from the perspective of traditional criteria, due to increasing environmental problems and ethical concerns. In this study, a multidimensional approach including environmental, economic, social, and competency concepts was proposed to evaluate SS, and an integrated approach based on Best Worst Method (BWM) and fuzzy TODIM (an acronym in Portuguese of Interactive and Multi-criteria Decision Making) techniques was developed. In the developed approach, BWM was used to first obtain the importance level of the criteria and then to rank the suppliers with fuzzy TODIM. The proposed approach was tested on an automotive company in Turkey. The outcomes of the analysis revealed that the most important main criteria for SS are economic (0.377) and environmental criteria (0.290). In addition, the sub-criteria with the highest criteria weight were listed as product cost (0.120), on-time delivery (0.112), quality control (0.094), logistics costs (0.069), management commitment (0.054), and flexibility (0.054). The results of this study offer theoretical and practical outputs to companies that want to improve their SS process, selection of suppliers, and contributions of the researchers working on the topic.Öğe Analysis of factors affecting customer trust in online hotel booking website usage(CITUR Centre for Tourism Research, Development and Innovation, 2020) Baki, RahmiTourism is a rapidly growing industry world-wide, and internet technologies are becoming increasingly important in that industry. Increasing customer expectations, efforts to reduce logistics costs and the intensity of competition in the logistics sector have led to the establishment of many new LMs in recent years. These centers contribute significantly to increasing efficiency in freight transportation, optimizing logistics services and reducing the traffic. The increasing importance of LCs and the significant impact of their location on logistics activities have made the choice of installation site a strategic consideration. However, evaluating LC location alternatives is a complex process that must take many factors into account. The aim of the present study is to propose an extended VlseKriterijuska Optimizacija I Komoromisno Resenje (VIKOR) approach based on interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IVIFN) and test its feasibility. Applying IVIFN contributes to coping with uncertainty in human thought and decision processes. On the other hand, VIKOR is a decision-making technique that facilitates ranking criteria that are contradictory and represented by different units, and it offers a compromise solution. The feasibility of the extended VIKOR approach through IVIFN proposed in this study was tested in a numerical example in which LC location alternatives were evaluated. Three experts were consulted to determine the criterion weights and to rank the alternatives. Decision makers serve as logistics and planning specialist, logistics operations manager and supply chain chief engineer. In practice, alternatives were evaluated by considering six criteria. As a result, criteria are listed in the form of intermodal connection (0.255), infrastructure (0.194), security/safety (0.169), proximity to customers (0.158), proximity to suppliers (0.131), and labour supply (0.093), according to their weighted importance.
