Pandemide maskelenen tanı: nüks sıtma olgusu

Abstract

Sıtma ve COVID-19 benzer klinik şikayetlere (ateş, solunum güçlüğü, yorgunluk ve akut başlangıçlı baş ağrısı, vb) sahip olabilen iki enfeksiyon hastalığıdır. Bu vaka sunumunda; pandemi döneminde ateş yüksekliği ile başvuran ve nüks sıtma tanısı konulan, öncesinde Liberya’da sıtma tanısı konulup tedavi verilen bir olguyu sunmayı amaçladık.

Malaria and COVID-19 are two infectious diseases, that can have similar symptoms (i.e. fever, respiratory distress, fatigue and acute onset headache,) In this case report; we aimed to present a case who admitted to the hospital with high fever during the pandemic with a previous history for malaria treatment in Liberia.
