However, the framework that both legal regulations, research and academic studies and the media draw in defining violence against women is quite similar to each other, and the most general line of this framework, including the representation of this in the media, is in the form of “violence from men” against women. In this study, the limitations of this framework drawn on violence against women were discussed with examples from various media channels, it was suggested that violence against women should be included in this framework, and the idea that the media is one of the most appropriate platforms to examine this phenomenon.
