The study was conducted on 112 participants attending the in-service Disaster Education course conducted in December 2008 organized by Burdur Province Civil Defence Directorate. To reach the aim of the study, an earthquake knowledge scale and earthquake attitudes scale were administered to the participants. The participants' knowledge levels and their attitudes towards earthquakes were analyzed using the SPSS package program.
