The sampling of the research is composed of 307 students who are studying at Aksaray University. In order to determine the dormitory satisfaction of students, the "Student Dormitory Satisfaction Survey" was used in the research. Also, in order to determine the students' personal growth initiatives, "Personal Growth Initiative Scale" was used. The findings show that there is a significant positive relationship between students' level of satisfaction and personal growth initiatives. However, we found no effect of gender on the level of student dormitory satisfaction or their personal growth initiatives. When we look at the subscales of the personal growth initiative scale, it is clear that there are significant differences between males and females. Furthermore, there is a positive relationship between the level of dormitory satisfaction of students and their age and length of time of stay in the dormitory. The results of this research will contribute to the development of appropriate policies by key institutions, that can contribute to the place of shelter for students, such as Council of Higher Education, universities, Higher Education Credit and Dormitories Institution and municipalities.trinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessPersonal DevelopmentPlace of ShelterStudent Dorm SatisfactionInvestigation of the relationship between students' levels of dormitory satisfaction and personal growth initiativesArticle8329330010.2399/yod.18.015WOS:000454729000004N/A
