Grabowski et al. made a valuable contribution to the field by summing up 97 articles related to the treatment of pilonidal disease [1]. Moreover, they commented on phenol as an effective method in the management of pilonidal disease with low recurrence and complication rates with level 2–4 evidence, grade B recommendation.
