Türkiye gibi inşaat sektörü sürekli dinamik ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerde iklim değişikliği nedeniyle afet mimarisini incelemek, bundan etkilenen yapılar için öneriler geliştirmek önemlidir. Bu tez çalışmasının amacı, iklim değişikliği nedeniyle artan afetlerin yapılara verdiği zararları önlemek için geleneksel ve günümüz konut özelliklerini iklim dayanımı bakımından değerlendirmek ve konut tasarım kriterlerine öneriler getirmektir. Çalışma kapsamını İç Anadolu'nun merkezi haline gelen Kayseri ilinin nüfus artış hızı ve konut üretim hızı yüksek Talas ilçesi oluşturmaktadır.All over the world and in our country, climates are changing rapidly due to various reasons, and as a result, there is an increase in natural disasters. It is important to examine the disaster architecture due to climate change in the construction sector such as Turkey, which is constantly dynamic and developing countries, and to develop recommendations for the structures affected by it. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate traditional and modern housing properties in terms of climate resistance and to make recommendations on housing design criteria in order to prevent the damage caused to structures by increasing disasters due to climate change. The scope of the study consists of the Talas district, which has a high population growth rate and housing production rate of Kayseri province, which has become the center of Central Anatolia. In the determination of the study sample area, the high rate of housing production in order to meet the increasing population demands of the district, the frequent occurrence of natural disasters in recent years, Despite the coexistence of traditional and contemporary houses as a result of the disasters experienced the new design houses were more damaged has been effective. In the study, climate, climate change, natural disaster classification and housing design criteria were determined by using the literature. Using the meteorological data of Kayseri province and Talas district, climate change and disaster situation analysis was carried out. The causes of damage in the houses were determined by using disaster damage examples. In addition, today's and traditional housing features were examined and the resistance of the houses to changes was evaluated. The study was conducted to investigate the effects of disaster resilience, stability, concept and building elements in architecture. By interpreting the findings obtained, the importance of predictive, sensitive and durable housing design and application has been revealed and suggestions have been made for the design and implementation phase in disaster damage reduction.
